Cant trade and mail , auction

hai i just ask some of my friend to play wow classic fresh , but somehow they cant use trade mail and auction , is that a bug or something?

Just to confirm, they have an active sub yes?

And if they do, did they use a boost of any kind? If they did, that simply means that they are still in the 24-72 hour ‘probation’ period.

Are we sure the “probation” period is 24-72 hours because I’m hearing it’s 30 days. Not having access to the auction house or player trades on launch is a major buzzkill

With a boost it is 24-72 hours. Not sure exactly which, hence the time span. Though with brand new accounts, it could be up to 30 days. Can’t be sure there, I haven’t had a new account in almost 20 years lol

If they are on a brand new account. They have to consume 30 days of game time to lift the restrictions. You can blame the gold sellers for that

Ahh. Well. There you have it. See I didn’t know that was a thing, personally

It’s relatively recent, and only applies to classic era and SoD iirc.

Here’s a link to the support article. Note that it’s 26 days paid time, tokens don’t count.

I didn’t know this.

I saw a few people on Trade Chat last night saying they couldn’t trade with people, but most people including myself was fine, and game play was normal. This makes a lot of sense why some accounts were restricted last night.

The funny part about that support article is that they have revised it twice in last 4 hours with conflicting information both times.

I am going through this currently on the new 20year anniv. realms. Do you know how much of a pain in the rear it is to not trade, mail or buy things on the ah is in vanilla wow?
No bronze tube for quest
No mats to craft
NO SOCIAL trades to have bags crafted with your own mats
Here is a big kicker. YOU CANT EVEN TRADE CONJURED WATER TO SOMEONE. I got removed from group cause no water for healer.

Blizzard you are killing the game for new players. If you don’t gain new players eventually the game will die.
I myself have had this account since 2019 where I played/payed for D3. Just recently added gametime to play vanilla wow.

I feel like I am being punished
I have my phone attached to the account as well as an authenticator.
Anyone who has those attached and ip is in the area of their phone should bypass this horrible restriction.

Blame the gold sellers and those who buy from them. Others have said this is direct result of them

Trolling these forums is highly ill-advised

Well I mean you already gave them thousands on non-WoW games so
 ok?

It’s not griefing. Spreading misinformation, and trolling the CS forum is highly ill-advised.

If you want to whine about something, it’d be best not to do it on the CS forum - the most heavily watch forum of all. The blues here don’t like folks trying to troll here, nor bypassing the filter system, either.

Since I did go over this in another thread I’m going to copy/paste it here, with some minor adjustments.

In order to help combat the Real Money Trade some restrictions were implemented that require accounts to have paid for at least one month of game time before they’ll be able to use some of the trading features.

Some of the philosophy behind this was posted about here, if interested.

The effective date for purchased game time to count for this is November of 2017.

The restrictions should lift after the 26th day from when the game time was purchased. Sorry for the inconvenience.
