I’ve read all wow posts on this regarding the alcatraz tempest keep dungeion… So I went in and killed all the bosses. After the death of the last boss Harbringer skyriss, I get a quest to, well KILL the same boss I just killed… you cannot kill the same boss twice in one instance of the dungeon… This quest “Maximum Security Breakout” should have been given after killing the boss that came before this one, so these can be done in one instance. I hate dungeons, and having to do the same exact dungeon 2 or more times because you’re given a quest INSIDE the dungeon to kill a boss you just killed as part of the original dungeon, is just repetitive and boring… Either make it easier to reset a dungeon; aka right after finishing, and before leaving, offer an option (( Do you wish to replay this dungeon or quit…)) (not wait 12 hours or more for it to reset), OR fix it so that a quest doesn’t drop from the boss you just killed to re-kill the same one again… GEESH

Too much way too much keep it simple you dont need a wall of text to get ur suggestion across. Also only heroics are locked for 24 hrs you can run it on normal to finish the quest.
Also there should be a option when u right click ur portrait to reset ann instances that arent heroic.
Thank you, never noticed the reset option. Also having to repeat responses on tickets because I was misunderstood, tends to cause added details and wordiness. (sorry about that) Also, got error that I had too many active tickets? All but 2 are marked resolved the others “answered”.??? confused there.
You may want to go in and change the “Answered” to “Resolved” then. They cannot just delete or close tickets. If you hit resolve, that should close them out properly and offer you a survey to take.
And you would have only needed one ticket? For future reference, you can reply to a single ticket, so long as it’s for the same issue. You wouldn’t have to open a new one each time (which is what I am assuming happened here?)
tickets were like 2 - 6 months apart each for different quests/issues? I do not know what the limits are.
Gms dont fix bugs or reset instances thats why u probably got the same answer 2x in a row the other possiblilty is u put in too much information like in ur OP.
Time limits likely don’t matter. Tickets are not meant to sit there stagnant and unresolved, so there is probably a limit to how many open tickets you can have at one particular moment in time. You’re not always going to get an answer you’d prefer, especially if you’re submitting them for things beyond a GM’s purview. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t mark your ticket as resolved. It’s resolved in the sense that you received an answer and that nothing further can be done in relation to the issue that necessitated a ticket.
GMs have limitations to what they can say and do. Like Darth said, they’re completely hands-off when it comes to Bugs. There are very, very rare occasions where the Devs have dictated a prescribed workaround would be permissible, but Bugs have to be submitted through the Bug Reports forum or through the in-game Bug Reports. Those are totally different from tickets as only GMs respond to tickets. Devs only look at Bug Reports. GMs also don’t take suggestions and feedback, there are other ways to submit those so that the proper staff can see them and take note of them.
Thanks for the help. Usually I don’t mark a ticket resolved until I’ve completed the quest and/or was able to turn it in. I do realize GM"s are busy and all; I’m just not a very patient person (I am working on it, though.)
The tickets that had Answered and not
Resolved were 8 months apart for different issues/characters.
Anyway, finally was able to finish the above quest. Thanks again for letting me know about the reset option. Either its a new option or never noticed.
Sorry for the long reply, I don’t think I can write “short and to the point”. I will work on that and try in the future.
The reset option been around for a very long time.
TO me this looks like a quest chain that starts with:
Goes to
then completing the above quest you receive
All of the comments were from 6 expansions though, and might not be up to date with the way old dungeons work, but glad you found out how to reset the dungeon again, otherwise if you can’t reset it could be done again in next weeks reset.
Otherwise as noted, you probably could not submit a ticket because you have older tickets still pending, but ultimately this would not have been something a GM could have solved with out advising to ultimately kill this boss again.
clarity: heroics have a daily reset.
I had considered that, but nothing indicates the quest is heroic specific.
