I recently got one of my friends to play wow for the first time so i wanted to create a new character. I created a druid played through exiles reach with him and we started dragonflight. I decided i wanted to try out another character so i completed exiles reach on a shaman and when i arrived at stormwind i didnt get the quest to start dragonflight. When i went to chromie time to start it it said i needed to be level 18 to begin so i got to level 18 and now its saying i need to be level 28 to start the campaign. I thought it might be bugged so i leveled another character to 15 and got the same problem nothing pops up to start dragonflight. Havenât had this problem before and ive leveled multiple characters with dragonflight after exiles reach but after the newest patch ive been unable to start it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Edit: tried doing a quest sync with my friend and it just shows a lock in front of the quest in my quest log

Well, I would say you need a level 60 on your account but youâre posting on an 80âŚIs this a new account to play with your friend?
Outside of that I think you can pick up the quest near the Cataclysm portals in Stormwind?
no its the same account i think there might be a bug ive seen some other people have the same issue after the newest update. i checked over by where you normally start the xpac and wrathion isnt over there.

I have a similar issue. I played through DF on 1 character to get to TWW. I had the DF quest and quest item on another character, but after the patch, the quest and item were gone and now none of my other characters (most are 60 - 63) can start Dragon flight. No quest pops up, and when I look at the quest log I see this:
When I look in my log I see:
Dragonflight 0/5 chapters
Continue the campaign by accepting the quest âTo Tyrholdâ in Valdrakken.
I have tried with and without Chromie, and nothing gets the quest to pop on any of my alts. Not sure what is wrong, but I think we may need intervention from Blizz.

The exact same thing has happened to me, even down to telling me to go to Tyrhold. Iâve created new characters who have had no issue starting the Dragonscale Expedition, but I canât get the starting quest for my main toon even when talking to Chromie.

I have had the same experience. Prior to Tuesdayâs patch most of my toons at least had accepted the starting quest and taken the two follow ups. Those toons range from level 10-40.
After the patch, my remaining toons, all of whom had the Black Dragonscale item AND the quest âDragon Isles Awaitâ before, found the item and quest GONE.
No NPCs, nothing. I verified that all toons who had advanced the line at least to taking the two quests, still had those quests and were and are able to continue.
One of my toons had turned in the two quests and was on the SW dock ready to go, when we decided to play Legion instead.
I returned to SW and found the portal to Waking Shores, the ship, Khadgar, and the entire ensemble ready to go.
It appears that only the seed quest NPCs and their quest have disappeared.
Apparently, DF is now a timewalking event.
However, Chromie does not provide a seed quest.
Worse, level eligible (???) players are directed to Valdrakken when they can âbeginâ Dragonflight in the bloody middle of the xpac.
Lowbies? Sorry. Go play something else.

Yeah, also getting impacted by this. Even more disappointing since I decided to make a DH toon again. Now Iâm stuck in Legion with no way to really progress. All legion dungeons arenât available in duty finder. Unless a guild takes me through, I canât even finish the first zone

Same here, just came back to wow and purchased TWW. Says to do the quests for DF but no way to start them. Tried chromie with zero luck. Same on all characters. A little disappointed I even came back and canât even get to leveling properly.

Also having this issue. I went to the isles manually and it sent me to the last area, with a couple of cut scenes and ended outside the raid, but now there is nothing else to do. So ironically I have the last chapter complete but none of the others.

This issue seems to have been fixed for me. Characters who previously were not getting the beginning quest for Dragonflight are now getting it.
