Can't set my legacy raid difficulty to mythic on an alt

I’ve never experienced this before. Am I missing something? I’ve always just been able to swap to mythic on any character, but on my priest the mythic option is grayed out.

Edit: Looks like having warmode on grays out mythic for legacy dungeons and raids for some reason.

What level is your toon and which raid/dungeon?

Sometimes you have do the lower difficulties first, like some of the raids during WotLK.

You’re correct. I cannot set raid OR dungeon difficulty to mythic anymore. Looks like a bug report is needed.

UPDATE: You can execute this to set the dungeon difficulty to mythic:

/run SetDungeonDifficultyID(23);

And this to set the legacy raid difficulty to mythic:

/run SetRaidDifficultyID(16);

Then the UI shows the correct settings. I don’t know what happened but it works for me.

I just did Nighthold on heroic and it didn’t change anything. Mythic is still greyed out.

Warmode was the problem for me. Turning it off allowed me to change the difficulty. Must be something with crossfaction play.

I’m in WM too. It’s entirely a UI issue it seems. Running the commands - I can zone into mythic instances just fine. This looks like it’s similar to the whole “vote to kick being grayed out” bug as well (not saying they’re the same bug, just using it as a comparison), where the UI was grayed out but executing commands still worked.

Did you do what I just did and walk out of an LFR raid like it was a normal raid and then try to change your raid Difficulty? Cuz that won’t work LOL. I submitted a bug report and everything before I noticed the game said party converted to raid and I had an extra health bar on the screen, which made me realize I was still in a Solo party for LFR heart of fear. If your problem was resolved when the instances were reset then that’s probably why LOL.

Oof.

Please be mindful of the date of the thread you’re responding to. Anything older than a week or two is considered a necro. The OP hasn’t even come onto the forums on that character since last August.

But the biggest reason why necroing old threads is bad, is due to the fact that what may have been the issue back a year ago, if very, very unlikely to be the same issue now. There have been countless hotfixes to go out, a number of patches and even a new expansion.

Its still better to let sleeping dragons lie unlike necro lords necroing is still a bad idea.
