Can't Seem to Get Gear/Anima?

Howdy,

So, I’ve been tanking a lot, and I love running dungeons… But…

I can’t seem to get gear to drop? At all? Like I’ve run 10+ dungeons today and nothing? Not a single piece? Or, maybe one?

What the hell?

And I also am not getting anima?

I refuse to do World Quests, I hate them, I’d rather not play the game if I have to do them. Dailies suck.

I am not PvPing, I never will, and that seems to be the suggestion.

Is dungeon running just pointless, cause if so, I kinda need to know so I can unsub. Cause this is worse than TBC levels of gear drop.

yea for those out of the know dungeon loot has changed for the worse this xpac.
gear is gear but the gear is rare now.
keep spinning the wheel till it drops man.

you have 4 pieces you can upgrade via crafted gear. wrists, trinket, and the two ring slots.
head to the AH or make them yourself to balance out the item level.
you can get a darkmoon fair deck real easy too.

Oof, that’s really discouraging… Like…

Ugh… I really like doing dungeons and RPing, and that’s about it…

But why would I stick around if like, doing dungeons is seen and treated as inferior, y’know?

It’s practically the only reason I bother subbing to this game, especially since a ton of the Tauren RP dried up on WrA because BfA was so loa-damned awful.

yea man i agree… its messy. hope it gets changed but with how things are blizz is/ are just doubling down.

Dumb question, but if they’re keys, have you timed them?

I can’t do those yet, and I’m too scared too. The one time I tried doing keys with a PUG in BfA I got death threats, so I just wanna do Normal/Heroic/LFR.

My guild disbanded in BfA cause the lore was garbage and nobody wanted to RP here anymore, most have moved to FFXIV and I just came back from there for a break.

I was hoping to find some passion here again, and I really loved the story and questing so far… But this dungeon loot, or lack thereof… Really makes me think I made a mistake returning.

If your goal is to only run normal/heroic dungeons without doing WQs…the yes, unsub

If you plan on doing Mythics you should suck it up and start doing WQs until you get your Covenant gear up to 197 so you can transition to M+s.

Mythic dungeons give 100 anima each and drop 1 - 2 pieces of loot every timed dungeon…going to 2 pieces of loot every dungeon next month

I just don’t have it in me to stomach the death threats and insults you get in Mythic dungeons, and I don’t have friends who play this game, most mock it.

My biggest tip would be to find a guild you like. I almost quit in 2018 before I got involved with mine. I understand how you feel-- it really is a game changer when you don’t have to pug. Best of luck to you.

Working as intended. I bet when you do get a piece of poorly stat’d gear though, you’re gonna be thrilled! Cause that’s the way it worked in 2004!

The world boss drops good anima (Once a week tho). Have you tried LFR? You get anima there also.

You can also get pretty decent anima by sending your followers on missions. The anima one are usually cheap to send off (10 or so).

WRA is a pretty big realm, if my memory serves. I’d say don’t be afraid to surf a lil until you find a space you like. My guild has a code of conduct that I find amenable-- and it is indeed enforced, resulting in a relatively peaceful guild thusly. :slight_smile:

To the matter at hand, loots: yeah, it’s rough this xpac so far. Raid has been improving w/the rollback of the earlier nerf, but I feel like dungeon and key loot has been carefully orchestrated to be underwhelming. I hope they come around on that.

Complains that he doesn’t get anima.
Also doesn’t do the activity with the highest anima gain.

Also with the latest change, doing 9/10 of the raid gives you enough anima for the quest.

Dude, put them on ignore and power on. If they kick you, it’s 30 seconds to get into another one as a tank. Only way to get good is to practice. Doing each dungeon on regular mythic will be more than enough practice, and you won’t have to worry about ruining anybody’s key.

There’s a flag in your settings that you need to check for gear drops.

Just kidding, gear is tough to get these days.

Looks like a fresh 60 if I’m not mistaken. Your covenant renown armor will be upgradable to 197 after completing the covenant campaign. World quests/Callings will help you get anima and renown while spam queueing normal/heroic dungeons. Round iLvl 170ish I’d say you could start mixing in mythic 0/+2

If you refuse to do World Quests and Callings to get what you need from them I dunno what to suggest. Maybe WoW isn’t the MMO experience you’re looking for.

Gearing as a fresh 60 is as easy as it’s ever been. Covenant campaign, normals, heroics. Then M0 and LFR. The loot drought is overblown if we are talking fresh level 60.
