Exactly. Inspecting the OP just running Heroic dungeons alone will provide them with upgrades
Focus on your covenant campaign, that alone will net you a HUGE increase over the gear you currently have. That should get you to 190+ ilvl which is enough to do mythics.
Heroic dungeons, especially this expansion, are going to be a disappointing source of gear for you.
If WQs and callings aren’t your thing, you can safely skip them. PvP, I understand some don’t like it, but it really is an easy path to fill in missing pieces with 197 or even 200 gear. I wouldn’t needlessly cut myself off from this gear, but maybe you truly suffer in BGs.
If I was you, I would finish my covenant campaign so I could upgrade all my gear to 197, then get started on mythic dungeons.

I don’t quite know how… To find the World Boss?
I’m trying to gear for LFR so I can do it, right now I need iLvl 200 something and I have 150. I’ve been running Normals and Heroics to learn how to play Prot again, whilst listening to Castle Nathria guides.
I really don’t like dailies, they feel like punishment and make me just wanna uninstall the game. They are tedious, boring, repeatitive, and altogether unfriendly. They also have no lore or quest or any relevance usually and I hate them, if I wanted to play with an actual-to-god skinner box… I would.
335/1000 so far, if that’s what you mean? For that … Uhhh… Replenish the Resevoir quest.
I’ll try, my skin isn’t as thick as yours and I take things people say to heart. I probably shouldn’t, but I do. I try to be nice to people, don’t always succeed of course, but it does … Shave some skin off when they tear me a new backside entrance over a videogame.
That’s what I’m fearing… I really love my characters, the races in this game are my favourite of any MMO since Everquest… And I’m really enjoying the story, but… Not the gameplay, the gameplay is boring and depressing.
Is the covenant campaign the Replenish the Resevoir thing? I’m at 335/1000 and it feels like I’mma never get there getting 1 anima a day or whatever.
I’ll try, I should probably watch some videos or something first, I don’t want people to get upset with me…
I’m not quite sure how to do this, I think it’s the weird “Refill the Resevoir” garbage, which is taking forever… It’s slower than the stupid Surumar tripe that made me want to return this game and do a full chargeback of all credit card transactions since 2004.
If I wanted a second job, I’d get one. And I certainly wouldn’t pay to have my time wasted in a way that is completely un-fun and tedious. Heck.

It’s working as intended as far as Blizzard is concerned no loot keep running dungeons = sub longer.
LFR only needs ilvl 170. You will be there well before you finish your covenant set.
Get used to the 1000 anima…you should be doing that every week. You will get a weekly quest from your covenant on Tuesdays to collect 1000 anima, and this needs to be done to stay caught up on Renown. The world boss alone will get you 250 every week. To find it, just look at the map of Shadowlands, there will be a world-quest marker with a dragon around it.

They most certainly have not been dropping anything, at least so far. I think I got one piece from all the bosses I’ve cleared today, as in, a singular upgrade in Normals.
I’m not sure I can do Heroics, I don’t wanna even think about Mythics EVER… I am terrified of the players that run those difficulties and the treatment they’ll show you. Or have shown me in the past. I’d rather skip the death threats and hate speech, I get that enough in real life.

Sure. It’s fair to be frustrated with bad luck but that’s all it was, bad luck. Should every boss drop 5 pieces of loot just so people don’t get the sads?
The world boss will resemble a World Quest, but will be Epic (purple). It will be located in one of the 4 zones and usually awards 250 anima. This week it is in NW Bastion
Here’s a trick, when someone types something rude, FORCE yourself to smile and laugh out loud at what he just wrote. A good, loud, fake laugh. And type LOL in chat. It sounds cheesy, but it actually works.

If he’s doing normal/heroic/M0 I’m pretty sure it hasn’t changed. M+ is what got nerfed.
naa but there should be some bad luck protection and differing levels of rng depending on what type of content you do.
op is doing normals… there should be in my opinion 5 pieces dropping in a normal dungeon since the gear in that is so low quality.
but if he’s doing mythic keys exactly… na not that common and should remain the same.
idk about that. i heard its across the board with raid being slightly tuned recently.
I only have the courage to do normals at the moment, I once used to revel in doing Heroics and Hard Mode, but… That was with guilds of close knit friends and on VOIP. RIP Teamspeak/Vent.

Honestly, you should be fine in heroics. Today’s heroics are yesterday’s normals. Today’s mythic zero is yesterday’s heroic.
Pugging does suck, but I haven’t encountered much, if any, toxic behavior so far this expansion. Run a couple heroics tonight, see what happens…if things go sour, just bail, who cares?
At this point, normal dungeons are not a viable gearing path for you.

I really wish there was a Novice/Returner’s channel. Trade just dumps on you and memes if you ask questions.

Thanks, I’ll watch a few tutorials and whatnot and guides… And then later tonight run some heroics. I’m really hoping things go well. I do really like this game, just… Not the community so far. Which, it’s an MMO, that’s the point.
