Can't restore disenchanted items

I’ve been trying to restore my blood-tempered ranseur that I DE’d today but it’s not showing up on the list. On closer inspection I noticed that none of the items I disenchanted are on the list, only things that I’ve vendored or destroyed. According to all the information on the service page disenchanted items should be restorable and I’ve DE’d slews of items over the last couple of days.

did you vendor or auction house the mats by chance? that could prevent it from being restorable, and unfortunately if an item doesnt show on the self help restoration page gms wont be able to help either.

Nope, still got the mats.

Did you happened to used some of them? The item can’t be restored if the mat it gave isn’t returned.

Raeyth, can you try clearing your browser’s cookies/cache and/or try using a different browser?

I know we’ve seen some odd things here and there when it comes to Burning Crusade Classic and some of the services, most of which are being looked into/worked on, but I’m not sure if this is related of not and basic troubleshooting usually helps there.

Did try clearing the cache and swithing from chrome to IE. No go

The mat I got from it merged into a stack. On a whim I tried separating the stack into single items, no such luck.

I can see it in the deleted inventory, so it should be there. I’d recommend posting in the Bug Report forums for Classic or submitting a report through the in-game interface option so that our QA team can take a look.

You’ll want to submit a ticket here. Give them the name of the item you are trying to restore and that the Item Restoration option is erroring out when you try to use it.

I am having the same issue.

I accidentally DE’ed my Aegis of the Blood God a few hours ago (meant to add +7 stam to shield, but DE’ed by accident).

The item is not appearing in the list of items available for restoration. The only three items available to restore are three Greater Magic Wands I vendored two days ago.

I have not used the service in months. The nexus crystal I received from disenchanting is still in my bags.

Is there a delay between when an item is destroyed and when it becomes available to restore? Or should it be available right away?

I would follow the above advice as well. Try clearing cache and or a different browser.

If that does not work, use the ticket link provided.

I’ve tried a different browser, have deleted history/cache, have opened the ticket.

Fingers crossed this gets fixed before launch. My dungeon crew is relying on me having some decent gear.

Did you get your item back through ticket @stormtokez

My wife is having the same issue, no de’d items show in her restore options at all. Only vendored or destroyed items

I am also experiencing this issue. I filed a ticket, but support refused to restore the item.

They did not refuse to restore them, Diamine, they item you were asking for simply wasn’t available.

The Item Restoration system looks at the same data our Game Masters do when it comes to restoring an item. Basically, when you deleted, disenchant or vendor an item it will go into a temporary deleted inventory. There it will remain for a certain period of time. Most items of quality will remain there for around 30 days, allowing the majority of them to be restored during that time.

The item you requested was not in your deleted inventory, meaning the system already purged it. To be clear, the issue with disenchanted items is that the Automated system isn’t always showing those items. Our Game Masters still can, assuming they haven’t been purged.

I understand that you may see items in your deleted inventory that you believe have been there for far longer than the Jumpers, but that really isn’t a factor. Just because other items that should have been purged already haven’t, doesn’t mean all items that came after wouldn’t have been. It is simply a fluke that the item you see remained.

Vrakthris, thank you for the explanation.
I have the exact same issue, and I cannot find where/how to create a ticket…perhaps the item is gone, but I would like to know for certain.

Do you have the name of the item, Coeudalene? I can take a look for you. If it’s available but you aren’t seeing it in the Item Restoration page (this tends to be only for items that were disenchanted), you can submit a ticket to make the request.

Just accidently disenchanted an item. Would like it back. I’ve noticed I couldn’t restore disenchanted items since months back but it never bothered me until now. Tried clearing cache/using a different browser, didn’t work.Made a ticket so hopefully I get it back but I am worried.

Thank you, the item is Sky-Hunter Swift Boots.

Looks like those were disenchanted within the last 2 days or so. It likely will remain available for restoration for a few weeks still. You can submit a ticket here.

Be sure to list the name of the item and that the item was disenchanted and not appearing on the Item Restoration list even though it was disenchanted a couple of days ago.
