I use Leatrix and Questie which I’ve heard can affect the reporting option when you open your map, hover over someone and click report afk. The option gives me an error all the time. However, even without these addons enabled I lose the ability to report with the map all together. And when I click a frame to report someone its for cheating or gameplay sabatoge, it doesn’t give them the afk debuff.
Please fix this so we can remove afk people from our games.
You need to report this issue to the addon developer; blizzard can’t be expected to fix errant 3rd party software.
When doing battlegrounds just turn off your addons 1 by 1 until you eliminate the problem.
Then just play without; as for questy, you dont need that in PVP.
You missed the part where I said i turned them off and the report afk feature isnt there.
you need to fully remove them then, they’re causing a fault. Possibly even reset your WTF file =(…
You can make a new folder to do this, and name it whatever you like then cut / paste the addons to that folder, re-start your game clean start up.
If that does not work, then WTF file is possibly borked.

I knew ahead of time, before I ever queued for a random BG, that I’m subject to the team I get grouped with.

Why are you ok with bots and afk players in bg’s? Does the leniency towards bots and afk players extend outside of bg’s as well?
I never said I was ok with them.
They cost me arena points during Wrath on missed dailies.
I just don’t have the right to decide on who gets into my BGs and who doesn’t, nor am I the BG authority to determine that they aren’t contributing, even when they’re in the middle of not contributing.
The botting, sure; it does not.
Outside of BGs on AFKers? You’re going to have to provide better context than that.
