Apparently I forgot to cancel my 6 month WoW sub, I swear that I did, and it just went through for $103.50 AUD. Could you please refund it, I haven’t played in months and I don’t plan to any time soon. The refund review page link “https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/wf/wow/1151/1152/submitted” for the subscriptions just times out conveniently, so I cannot automatically request the refund, in-fact all of your support ticket services just time out at the moment when you press submit, they just sit there eternally spinning. Also for some strange reason, the subscription purchase doesn’t show up on the regular refunds list, either does my previous 6 month subs I have bought over the last few years, only the subs all the way back in 2020 show up, I have paid for many subscriptions since then but they don’t show up in the list. What is going on, why is half your support website not working? I’ve had to come here to ask for help. I’m considering doing a bank charge back due to not being able to use any of your service to request a refund. Please help me or I’m going to have to do a bank reverse charge.
Have you tried using different browsers and clearing out caches? The website loads just fine for me.
I would seriously advise against doing this
The website is currently undergoing some back-end updates and maintenance work, we haven’t yet heard that they’ve finished. It’s quite possible that other parts of the website are affected as a result.
Understand that this is the nuclear option. Going through with this means you’ll have to pay it back before you’re able to play again in the future, if you choose to come back.
It could still be a few hours, it’s nearing the end of the rough estimate for how long these updates tend to take, but maybe try again in a few hours. They can see if you’ve been active in-game and can make a determination on that when the system is back up and running.
Firstly thank you for your response, I have tried multiple browsers and cleared my caches, same result on all, sorry yes that specific link loads but when you click the “Continue” button it just times out and this comes up:
"Something went wrong on our end
An error has occurred. This may be a temporary error, so please try again later.

I know doing a charge back is extreme but I’m in a rough spot, I know this is oversharing but I’m desperate, I’m low on funds due to moving recently and a bunch of medical/dental bills all happening at the same time and I didn’t budget for this, it’s extremely (almost comically) terrible timing. So I really need the refund system to work ASAP or I’m in a lot of trouble. Sorry I know that it means nothing to people on the internet, but I hope it conveys how desperate I am for this service to work.
Are you getting that error when you try to use the automated refund system or are you trying to submit a ticket?
I hope that it’s just a temporary thing, but I did try last night (getting close to 22 hours ago) to do this and it was the same issues.
I’m getting an error when trying to use the automatic refund system, but ALSO when trying to submit literally any ticket, the submit button just sits there eternally spinning after you press it and it never submits. Ive tried this on multiple different ticket paths too.
Although this ticket path is not ideal for your issue, it may work. Just make sure you are specific in that you’re requesting a refund and that the automated self-service option didn’t work.
You may want to try on a mobile data connection. Disconnect entirely from WiFi and just use your mobile provider’s data. I can certainly understand wanting to get that refund ASAP, but submitting a ticket would be the only way.
I’ll also echo the others regarding a chargeback. Chargebacks are really not intended to be used as a refund method. They are to be used when there is an unauthorised transaction. Banks have been cracking down on chargebacks recently and it can still take up to 10 business days to process that. I highly recommend not going that route. When/if you decide to return, you will need to repay that amount to Blizzard in addition to the new subscription charge.
Hello, thank you, I just managed to submit a ticket through this link thank you, none of the other ticket paths were working for some reason, but it still didn’t work the first few attempts until I spammed it and managed to work on the 4-5th refresh the website seems really slow and unstable atm. Thank you, hopefully something comes from this.
Also thank you for that advice on the charge backs, sounds terrifying, I won’t go down that path then. Thanks for the heads up.
