Can't Reactivate Subscription with Gold – 300k Available but Option is Grayed Out

Hello,

I’m trying to reactivate my World of Warcraft subscription using gold through the character selection screen. I have over 300,000 gold on my character, but the option to “Add 30 days for 287,675g” is grayed out and not clickable.

Here’s what I’ve confirmed:

I have enough gold on the same realm and character.

My character is level 80 and previously active.

The amount of gold needed is clearly shown, and I meet that requirement.

Is there a reason why the option is unavailable despite meeting the gold requirement? Do I need to be logged in somewhere else, or is this a bug?

Thank you for any help.

As long as its not in the warbank then id try a full UI reset

Can’t purchase from character select

In Modern WoW and Cataclysm Classic, if your game time has expired, you can purchase a WoW Token for gold from the character select screen by clicking the Reactivate Now button. Each character on a single realm will contribute gold to the price of the Token.

To ensure you’re pulling gold from the right realm, click the Realm button at the top of the character select screen and choose your realm with the most gold. Gold in your characters’ mailboxes counts towards this total.

However, in Cataclysm Classic, if you have never purchased any game time or subscription in that account in the past, you will not be eligible to consume WoW Token for game time.

The War Within Updates

Starting with The War Within expansion pre-patch, all your characters are shown in a unified character selection screen. However, gold from characters in different realms do not contribute to your total gold when buying a WoW Token: the gold must all be in one single realm.

In addition, gold in the Warband Bank does not currently count to buy a WoW Token.

Limitations

  • WoW Tokens are not available in World of Warcraft Classic Era, Hardcore or Season of Discovery.
  • You cannot purchase a WoW Token for gold if you already have a WoW Token that was purchased with real money on your account.
  • You cannot purchase a WoW Token unless you have spent real money to purchase and use at least 1 month of game time since 2017. The first paid month needs to have fully passed.

See our WoW Token article for a full list of limitations and restrictions.
