Can't queue for specific dungeons

I’m having issues queueing for Plaguefall. It’s not currently available in the list of dungeons in the Dungeon Finder. I’m playing on my level 58 priest.

If it is your first time running through Shadowlands content, dungeons and zones do not scale with your level. Plaguefall is a level 53 dungeon, so you simply out leveled its level range.

Once you complete the main storylines of the 4 zones, hit level 60 and chosen your covenant, it should scale to your level.

they all opened up for me when i turned 60.

This is an incredibly frustrating feature. I didn’t even get the quest for Mists of Tirna Scithe until I completely finished Ardenweald, and at that point I was already 60. I basically was given a quest that is impossible to complete without completing an entirely separate zone.

While I get wanting people to experience content, intentionally locking them out for out-leveling it just by doing said content, is pretty dumb.

Agreed. I wanted to do Plaguefall as part of the zone storyline, but I’d already outleveled it. Right now, at level 59, I have exactly one dungeon available to me: Mists of Tirna Scithe… the only other one even offered is unavailable because I haven’t completed a quest.

So locking off dungeons because a) you haven’t completed the right quest yet and/or b) you’re too high of a level, during the actual leveling/questing experience, is a short-sighted, unfun idea.

It is only for your first time through. Plus when you pick your covenant and complete chapter 1 of the campaign, those quests scale up to level 60 as well.

i doubt it’s an “idea”. i think it’s an unforeseen consequence.

i had dungeons open, jumped into them then 30min later got a quest to go kill someone in them. they didnt open ‘with the storyline’ either. they open sort-of randomly.

if it was an attunment to do the questline up to the dungeon i’d be more okay with it.

Yea this is wild. Been playing along enjoying my time. Set aside this morning to finally try out the dungeons i had unlocked so far, assuming they would implement their fancy new scaling system along with their fancy new content. To find out i have out leveled all the dungeons and have to grind threw another two and half zones to be able to play my fav content, 5mans, is just… Just goes to show they will force you to play the game exactly how they want you to and to hell with your fun and enjoyment. honestly really just soured my whole shadowlands experience that i cant play the game at my own pace and way.

Same happened to me. I got the quest for the Ardenweald dungeon, dinged 60 almost right after, and now cannot complete it because I’m locked out of all the dungeons for not having a high enough item level or the dungeons are unavailable on the dungeon list. Pretty frustrating feature.

I saw a blue post yesterday where they said you can out ilvl normal dungeons, which is why you won’t see the starter dungeons if your ilvl is too high. I hit 60 and suddenly can’t queue for any normal or heroic dungeon. They said it’s always been this way, but I’ve never seen this previously. I’m at 141, which means I can’t see the first couple of dungeons and I’m just below all of the rest of the normal dungeons. They said the resolution was to either buy more gear, or to run quests in Revendreth. (I’ve been to Revendreth, there were almost no quests available and certainly nothing that led to gear).

Same deal for me. Just dinged 60 at the end of Ardenweald. Got a quest for Mists, but can’t get into it. The quest rewards 128 boots, but I have to be ilvl 155 get get into heroic Mists. Normal Mists isn’t even on my list, and all the dungeons that are, normal or heroic, are locked to me. Ridiculous.

it will return to the list - you wont be locked out of normals. they all come back at end of storyline i believe. i know i backtracked one normal that way.
