blizz did not make that rule specifically with you in mind. It was something they did to cut down on spam and account hacking.

I am sorry, but that is not something CS can do for you. The flag is set at the account level if, and only if, you have an Authenticator connected. The game pulls the flag from the account data. Same with the extra backpack slots.
CS can not over ride any of that.

P.S. Cricket is not a good recommendation. They have a whole batch of numbers that are registered as “pre paid” which can’t be used with the Blizz Authenticator/phone number system. It will say “phone number invalid” when you try to set it up. A lot of people have issues setting up the Auth with a Cricket number.
The backpack slots required 2 things:
- Authenticator
- SMS Protect (free text messaging service connected to a valid cell phone number).
Many people had the Auth, but had not set up SMS Protect or whatever they call it these days.
The current iteration of the Auth requires you to enter the phone number as part of Auth set up so that mistake can’t be made. Down side, it now means people NEED a contract cell phone to set up the Auth, not just a device that can run it.

I’m gaming on a 15yo workstation. HP XW8400 you can look it up. I can game on a 15yo computer, but you’re telling me I can’t receive a text to authenticate like my bank account does? That there’s some app I need that for SOME reason can’t run on a 5yo phone? I don’t need Blizz junky software funking up a nice new phone. Also, dumb reason to get a new phone, js
