I can’t put a title or description in group finder cause it says I don’t have an authentator on my account. I had my account since Wrath its not getting hacked I don’t need one.

no thanks, I don’t want to buy one or i don’t want to download the program cause it would be a hassle to enter a 6 digit number to play the game.
iv been using the authenticator forever.
its easy you barely use it more than once every few months and believe it or not its a life savor.
cant tell ya how many times iv looked over and seen someone from good ol korea tryin to get into my account
best change blizzard has ever made… can’t be bothered to download a free app that you pretty much use once in a blue moon then i guess you cant make groups…less spam i guess

Poster is missing the point of the update - it’s so we don’t see all the ads anymore in group finder. I say its a good change considering only downside is some special people like poster can’t put titles anymore.
i promise you the authenticator is like the LEAST inconvenienced thing in the world.
i had to use it a good few times in the begining but its different now from back then and you just apress the “accept” button or not on the app when you want to log in
really hope they don’t revert the change and keep it in… it was a long time coming and shoulda happened alot sooner.
Then don’t use it, and list your groups with default names.

People who use stolen accounts to spam are the main target. Accounts with an Auth on them are far less likely to be compromised and abused.
Less spam for everyone and more secure accounts.
If you log in from the same PC/location you will almost never even need the Auth. Further, I think the new phone one has an app button to click and you don’t even have to type a code.
The Auth is only needed when Bnet detects a change in login patterns.
Also, it is free. I use the old physical one still, but it is 11 years old so we shall see how long it lasts before I have to switch to the phone app.
For anyone getting the app - remember to write down your Serial Number and Restore code somewhere safe. That lets you put YOUR version on a new phone or reinstall it if you do a software reset.
If your slight inconvenience means that I no longer have to report a minimum of 20 boost sellers for ads in order for me to read what groups are actually available, then so be it.

At this point in time, only if I log onto things from a new device/location I have to open the app on my phone and hit “accept” or whatever. That’s literally it.
Phone authenticators are great until you lose your phone.
you dont even enter 6 digits you just approve the code when it comes up on your phone.
Honestly I’m a little worried about that myself 
I’m installing an authenticator myself tonight before I play for the first time. I hope it works out well.
On the plus side ( hey OP, you get this too) I’ll finally get to use those extra four bag slots in my backpack.
That said… So help me I will riot if boosting ads pop up as quickly as before .
Looked it up. Google play and Apple platforms I do not use. Where is the PC version of this?
