These are systems the seasoned pvpers have called for, for a long time:
- less barrier to entry (can get full pvp gear quickly)
- not forced to pve (for the good gear)
- fast paced meta (rewarded for outplays)
- faction balance
- rated solo queue arena
Sure, theres still some cheese and tuning bound to happen (hopefully incrementally) and theres always going to be people that disagree, but for me as a pvper, this expac claps so far

It’s amazing. Equalised pvp is something we have been waiting for since WOD

Yeah, please be tolerant of tuning. Stuff will be rough early, but the bones of the current expansion seem good, so fingers crossed.
It’s so cool to get full geared (pre-ranked) in like an afternoon.

Who is complaining? I have no complaints. I have so much time to do so many things! I’ve fully geared two characters. Started leveling professions, maxed dragon, and doing fun things. I can get on and do content I want to do! I love it!
If my classes aren’t strong I can level a new one in a day. This is what WoW should be!

crazy the melee is having a great time
All casters seem really strong. Destro and Fire are really the only specs having a hard time. Which is fine by me because they’ve been good for so long.

Tuning is stupid, but so far everything else is good.
This character is my only melee. I only play ranged DPS and healers. I’ve been destroying as Arcane.

IDc about balance tuning atm as long as they bring out consistent tuning (no -30% nerfs)
the rest of the game is pretty fantastic atm. get to max level, get full honor in a few hours, and done. The best part of wod is back and i love it

@kennie when do you consider good melee amd good casters, good? Like 2500? 3k? 3500? Whats this threshold where casters in your mind start slam dunking on melee? Cuz its been pretty heavy towards melee in slands. I know you dont care about representation at all, not even enough to have a nuanced discussion about it, but for reals, at what point in your brain does the zug zug stop?
Eh, probably around Duelist, although it kind of varies.

Haha fair. I expected wayyyy higher than that.
Still feels like a duelist melee would spank a duelist caster. Or melee cleave vs wizard cleave at that rank.
Cleaves can kind of awkwardly run into this wall of being unable to brute force people somewhere between rival-duelist, drag their healer into a bad spot, don’t really have a plan as to how they’re cycling defensives/stops, etc, and just flop.
As a player comfortably in that bracket (maybe higher with inflation), that’s usually where casters actually pull out now of their spell book and actually use all those tools they have properly to make raw zug zug harder.
