Can't login via game client

Hello,
I can’t seem to login to the game, it prompts for the authenticator code then immediately returns “You have been disconnected” when hitting enter.

The only way I’m able to login is to first login to the battle.net app, then launch the game through that.

The authenticator and login details are clearly correct if I can login to the battle.net app first, seems to be just the game client that’s having issues.

Any ideas?

Also worth noting its only happening for this account.

Are u logging in thru wow.exe or the app originaly I know there was a issue a few weeks ago guess not about being fixed.

There’s a couple of threads in tech support, it’s being looked into, the work around is for now to use the launcher. Some of the blue replies are from last week, but it seems it’s not working as intended.

As an update - A small client update was released for the Shadowlands client which solved the problem. The TBCC and Classic Era client fixes are still pending but hopefully they’ll be available soon™ assuming the pass QA testing.

But yes, the workaround currently is to launch the game from the Blizzard Desktop App instead of the exe.

A new client for Burning Crusade Classic is being released which should address this issue. Players may be prompted to update the next time the relog.

A new client for Classic Era is still being worked on.
