Was just running a 10 with my other half and suddenly we were kicked from the game during the very last mob we needed for %.
Since then neither of us have been able to log in to both Diablo or WoW servers.
It came completely out of the blue, and has been about 30 minutes now. Our internet is working like normal, no issues at all, and it seems everyone on my friends’ list (albeit a short list, about 6 or 7 people) are still online playing.
Just happened to me too. In the middle of a delve and it disconnected. Now it takes forever to connect and then sits spinning on retrieving character list.
Us too. Midwest US.
Swapped to tether my phone and it seems it fixed the issue for now. Glad to know it wasn’t just us!

Mid-raid pull and both my brother and I got hit with this. 
He is able to log into Classic, but we are both unable to log into Retail.
Slow log-in, and then Stuck on Retrieving Character List before kicking me back to the main log-in screen.
Malorne server (Western Manitoba)
Was doing a M+ got kicked and now stuck on logging in to game server
got kicked while raiding and can’t log back in =/
Same thing. Was porting for a key and got kicked. Cant log in. Someone said something about the midwest. I am also in the midwest

We fully exited wow and bnet (and closed any extras bnets in task manager) restarted and reopened. The game finally loaded in and character list loaded! yay!
I just went and played D4 and tried again after seeing this post. No extra steps, it was just working again and did not notice any problems for the 30 minutes or so I was on.
