That’s how it feels. There’s no reason they would bring such an important character and just have her walk away without setting this up for another future character to use. Especially in the elf expansion coming up.
Will this make Elisande, The Doctor?
I was thinking to myself in this most recent patch, standing next to Ysera, Alexstraza and the rest, “its really nice that everyone’s a reasonable size. I hate feeling like I’m scampering around the ankles of major lore characters”.
Then kaiju sized Elesande happened.
Why is she alive? Just time-travel stuff? Is this an alternative version of herself? She sure did murder and enslave a lot of people. Also banished with intent to murder.
Her echo sounded a touch remorseful after her death, is that all it takes these days?
Timey wimey Elisande! She knows how the story ends! Spoilers! She’s more of a River Song, but yeah, a time traveler nonetheless.
As long as this doesn’t result in a redemption for her it’s whatever. I don’t understand how Tyr’s memories could help her improve her time magic though, he was blessed by Aggramar not Aman’Thul.
What kind of stupid question is that?
OF COURSE ITS THE HAT!
Quest chain is on Wowhead.
I didnt expect a Runas cameo. It hit me in the feels. I also rather like that Tyr has decide to learn about modern Azeroth and will have the Tyr’s Guards as his guides. I wonder how he’ll react to seeing Azeroth’s current state.
Oh I completely missed Runas.
Tyr kept a lot of secrets, it was kinda his thing. So who knows what was rattling around in his memories that Elesande was able to exploit. Her timeway portal was definitely not the same technique that Aman’thul blessed the bronze dragons with, for sure.
i had a dream the nightborne helped rebuild gilneas
the factions were coming together
and then i realized it was a nightmare because no war in warcraft
Anyone voiced by Jennifer Hale is welcome to return.
As much as I like her design (wish her hat was lootable) and voice acting (Jennifer Hale’s a great actor), I’m not sure bringing her back is a good idea. It cheapens what we saw of her in Legion.
“I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favorite morally dubious elf in Warcraft.”
She’s a master of time and can traverse the infinite timeways, if Illidan can come back with his story of having a “demon soul” then surely an infinitely powerful Elisande can be justified as returning since she can literally alter time and space as she sees fit.
Vanessa Van Cleef in Cata faked her death and came back as well during Legion. Would you deny us Elisande? It’s not like her story cannot continue with the right circumstances.
Can confirm. I like the big doofy pope hat.
I do like her better than Illidan and at least she’s steeped in time travel… so no, I wouldn’t.
Now to get Zul back…
As for Tyr… I do suspect we will get the discovery that there is a Titan World Soul on Azeroth but it is not Azeroth’s own Soul but the thing situated above Hallowfall pouring it’s essence into Azeroth driving her to believe she is a Titan.
I theorize that Tyr will note that Azeroth is not a being or Order or of the Titans causing Alexstrasza and the Aspects to get confrontational until Tyr elaborates revealing the fact that the Soul of the World is not a Titan while a Titan World Soul is somewhere underneath the Planet’s surface accidentally brainwashing her into thinking she is a Titan.
Therefore I theorize that Xal’atath naturally is after the Titan not Azeroth.
I theorize that Azeroth is a God just like the Pale Lady is and that the Titans are considered Godlike because they serve as Souls for Planets like Gods.
I think a quasi redemption arc for Elisande could work, provided that the Elisande in question is NOT the one from our timeline, and is an alternate universe Elisande seeking to make amends for the atrocities committed by the Elisande we defeated.
The big question is why that alternate Elisande would do that.
The Ellisandre from our timeline died in the raid didn’t she? Unless I missed something
Well, one can hope, but is anything certain with a character that can manipulate time as easily as Elisande does?
