That’s certainly true. I think as long as they don’t try to justify her past actions, I don’t think people will mind if blizz has her walk a better path and learned from her mistakes
Unrelated to Elisadne specifically but about this questline, I hope Tyr gets his hammer back from paladins’ banks next time we see him.
The ending has me so confused. Are we sure these are the same memories as our Tyr?
We go to an alternate timeline to retrieve the disc from an alternate Elisande. Yet that Elisande is also from a third timeline. So we have the main timeline, the timeline with the disc, and the timeline Elisande returns to.
I wish there would have been some clarity as to why we went to an alternate timeline and if that still resulted in Tyr having the same experiences.
Chrono Lord Deios moved Tyr’s Memories to another Timeline which just so happened to be the one with an Elisande trying to figure out a way to save Suramar.
Her ultimate solution was to get MU Elisande killed by draining her ability to rewind Time.
Ah thank you. I must have missed that part with Deios.
But Elisande is from a 3rd universe it seems as the Tyr’s Guard mention she may not join the Legion in her time.
3rd? Don’t you mean 2nd? Oh wait we are counting AU Draenor as the 2nd aren’t we?
She might be able to outright move AU Suramar to our Timeline’s Quel’Thalas considering she was able to drain MU Elisande.
Sorry, I just meant in the context of the questline.
We come from our universe (1) and go to the universe with the disc (2). Elisande mentions before she departs “I have gleaned the knowledge I need to depart this timeway and keep Suramar safe”. That would make a 3rd timeline as she leaves this universe too and we know she isnt from the MU.
If you count Draenor, Bronze Dragons Quests, the time ways dailies, and Bronze Dungeons we are up to a lot haha.
Yeah we killed her. Apparently she got the Zul treatment and saw all possible timelines, except the one where she dies.
Or they did see it but felt that since the odds of it happening were close to impossible, their arrogance blinded them to the possibility.
Well for Zul anyway.
His exact words were “Wait… Dis was not the future I was promised…” in a protesting manner as if he were begging us to let his future come to pass.
He wanted the promised future so badly he was willing to fight for it and when he was losing he started begging to be allowed to bring about that promised future even though it was too late for him due to the blow being fatal.
If he comes back(when Mueh’zala comes back preferably) he better learn from his mistakes in latching on to a promised future and look for multiple avenues for getting what he wants.
Elisande saw only futures where she won thus the AU Elisande upon gaining access to Tyr’s Memory saw the potential of a future where MU Elisande lost. We were AU Elisande’s spanner in the works and she only existed because said spanner did it’s job.
In the Twilight of Suramar comic Elisande’s visions are seen a green tint, suggesting that the Legion was manipulating the futures she saw. Both Xal’atath and Thal’kiel, make comments that back the theory up, as they suggest that unseen powers have been opposing or disrupting Elisande’s own abilities.
Aw yiss, my smug queen is back!
I disagree that she will lead the elves. Clearly that’s a job for Azshara, the smuggest of them all.
There were also the various insinuations and hints that something sinister lay beneath the Broken Isles, which may well have been influencing the Nightwell. Though the relevance of that would depend upon whether they ever decide to follow up on it, such as perhaps exploring why there was apparently a titan facility of some sort beneath the Temple of Elune, and what the Maiden of Vigilance was protecting down there before Aegwynn enlisted her to guard the Avatar.
Honestly, Im not much for Elf Story as its just everywhere and one thing I am looking for besides the whole revamp of the blood elf kingdom, Im honestly looking forward or at least hoping to get more night elf story out of it. Havent really seen anything since BFA and unless im not really paying attention, I havent seen much of their presence in DF.
Elisande I am curious to see how it plays out and if that version makes another appearance. I do feel like shes just another web in time that ultimately leads to something important or at least hope but I could just being too optimistic.
Eillisande was a character who did what she did because her Primary Concern was the survival of her People under the Yoke of the Legion. The minute we came along and threw off her predicitons she immediately sided with us to kick the Legion in the shins.
And in this current questline the moment we stopped trying to stab her and just asked for it back she just gave it to us.
It’s not that shes’ being redeemed, it’s that she’s making choices any person who can follow a logical throughline can make. We have stables full of characters who at any moment said they’d go Super Satan if it meat protecting that which they cared about-Ellisande is just one of the few people who actually got to that point.
Like Vol’jin, Rastakhan, Saurfang, Nathanos, Zul, and Rezan?
I liked hearing Tyr talk about what he remembered because I honestly never remember anything about him. Its kinda interesting he looked for the vrykul
Those characters were all heroes no? They don’t need redemption.

She says in her outro dialogue “in all of the possible futures I scryed, i did not forsee one where you were victorious… i wonder.” I in my initial readings of the scene thought she was talking about us being victorious over her but now it seems like she pulled a Dr. Strange and weighed the outcome of us winning against the ultimate big bad.
They wasted Zul
