It’s driving the heck out of me, especially in dungeons. I’ve deleted and re installed both KUINameplates and Plater. I’ve tried disabling all other add-ons. I made sure I was downloading the TBC version (from curseforge). Any suggestions please. We don’t have many Horde on Pagle as it is and I need to be out there in this fight.
I had the same issue completely drove me insane. It’s actually something checked in the system tab causing the addon to not work, I honestly don’t know what I changed. If I can remember Ill post again.
Edit - Ok actually if im not mistaken it’s in the Interface…Names… left side make sure to have Always show names and Friendly names.
Hey it’s pointing me in the right direction. My shift isn’t over for another 10 hrs but Ill tinker around. If you remember and post, I will make sure the heroic tale of Abomination the Night Elf is sung Shattrath.
I just edited my post not sure if that helps but I do use Kui. Was on my alt and checked those and it worked.
Is that in the Regular interface or KUIs interface?
Regular Blizzard interface. It’s basically just hiding the addon names from being displayed.
push ‘v’ pretty sure that turns on enemy nameplates. If it doesn’t go into your key bindings and find the setting
The thing is that the games normal nameplates work fine.
hitting the V key doesn’t select “enemy plates ALWAYS on” it just turns them in the moment… Meaning you still need to have the always on selected.
Since Plater and KUI are basically reskinning the existing nameplate display, it is relying on blizzard (or specially the player) to have the display function active.
Ok so if you go into the game without addons and see nameplates then install KUINameplates / Plater and you no longer see them you should try totally removing the addon
1 - Delete addon(s) from the Addon folder
2 - Goto C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_\WTF\Account\ (account name) \ SavedVariables
Look for Plater/KUINameplates and delete them
3 - C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_classic_\WTF\Account \ (account name) \ (server) \ (character name) \ SavedVariables
Look for Plater/KUINameplates and delete them
4 - Install Plater/KUINameplates
Give that a try. I personally use Threat Plates
Thanks for the help. The games stock nameplates are on regardless if I have the add-ons enabled or not. They always stay as the stock ones ( they don’t disapear)
try a different addon, like Threat Plates, if all fails delete WoW and reinstall
It was my stock interface. I was confusing the Names being shown as actual nameplates, which they are not. Thanks for all the help.
