Can't fly in BFA zones even though DF is out

shouldn’t we of gotten the ability to fly in BFA zones since DF came out? or is there something i missed

Have you unlocked flying on one of your toons in BFA?

Or did they announce something saying you would get flying?

Genuine questions

I thought this was the case?

The only restriction will still be your level, which (I think?) is 40.

There’s an article on GameRant about it, but I didn’t see any details on any new requirements.

I’ve only ever seen that on fan sites.

The GamerRant article was based on a Reddit post that was later deleted.

I’ve yet to see official word on BfA Pathfinder being removed with DF and it doesn’t appear to be the case in-game.

I’m digging around at the moment but I’m not finding anywhere where Pathfinder has been definitively deactivated or even confirmation that they were going to break the pattern and keep it as is due to BFA being the default leveling expansion now.

WowHead’s guide does not have any notations of changes in the actual guide nor the comments for 10.0.0.

Much as I hate it on principle, not even Reddit seemed to have a documented sureity as yet.

The only official bit I’ve found thus far is an interview with Ion from back in July. I’ve got it at the timestamp for BfA Pathfinder talk, but sounds like they want people to still do it. If this has changed, I cannot find official word that it has anywhere as yet.

Fair enough, I was going off much the same info…
Something I heard from a friend of mine who refuses to do BfA PF.

After trying to find something concrete, that was the closest thing.

Bummer…

damn unfortunate, just assumed it would be the same as legion pathfinder not being needed in SL. if BFA being the default new player starting zone is the reason behind not removing it then that’s pretty dumb imo, but that’s just an assumption so take it lightly

Making BFA the default starting zone for new players in combination to advertising that you can purchase flying at level 30 only to be surprised to find out you still can’t fly in the area you’re questing in is a great way to cause new players to quit soon after purchasing flying. IMO.

Wrong place for feedback you would want to post in quests general or ingame suggestio.
