It isn’t letting me do the final foothold on my lvl 39 Horde character. I did the first and second footholds with no problem, but Blightcaller just never had the quest to do the final one.
A friend told me that I may have to do the mission at the mission table on the ship so I did the first three (one 2 hour one, and two 4 hour ones). I also read online that you have to do a tutorial for the island expeditions so I did an island expedition (couldn’t find any sort of tutorial for it). None of these things have helped though and the quest still isn’t available.
I am on alliance side rather than horde, but I am having the same issue at level 60. I have done all the same steps the OP did, and i also had no option for the solo tutorial I have seen mentioned elsewhere, but queued for the 3man version at that table. I have also tried disabling all addons in case that was the issue, but reccieved the same results. Wyrmbane has the grey “?” and when I click the quest from his dialogue box i get “Let’s do this.” No matter what I do though the table remains lit up, but not interactable.
so I followed up on that and have recruited him, but the table is still not interactable. I assume since you aren’t posting in blue you aren’t part of the dev team, can you point me to where you found what i had stopped on so I can try to use that to figure out how to finish it? because there were no breadcrumbs after that, no quests I saw there. and the grey ? quest is to ‘review the final foothold’ tried to post screenshots showing the quest in the log and in the dialogue screen via imjur, but can not post links apparently
to clarify, the not on the dev team comment was in no way a dig. I appreciate your being willing and able to help… simply meant if you aren’t blue, it might be a resource i can access and thus not keep bothering you in this thread

You should have gotten the final quest for that foothold to go talk to Wyrmbane immediately afterward-- it’s still returning as incomplete:
You would be correct, in the minor scheme-- no one posting here, whether in white, green, or blue, are part of the dev team. The SFAs have tools at their disposal that allow them to look up the same information much faster (though something I think has been alluded to as something they should not do).
WoWhead and www.questchecker.com are what I use, though there are various different tools to use that achieve the same thing (such as Icy-Veins’ completed quests checker). Taking the redirect returns a privacy error, but typing the URL manually in a new tab works okay.
When that happens, in your reply box there’s a string of icons at the top. All you have to do is highlight the text you want and then click the </> button to make it look like this. You can post it, and then we can copy-paste it.
I appreciate the clarification, but I assure you I in no way took it as such, I understood the curiosity just fine! Having those tools at our disposal can often help us out of a bind faster than seeking help from others that could be off doing other stuff, especially during the holidays.
And by no means are you bothering those of us that opt to reply and help seek your next map marker, that’s what we’re here for!
I hate to suggest posting a bunch of links, but the album isn’t loading for me for some reason.
I do believe your claim about being unable to interact with the table, but could you provide just a single screenshot of your whole quest log? There might be some smaller details preventing you from going further.
I appreciate your enthusiasm to help. I went back to vol’dun and sure enough there was a quest i hadn’t seen… turned that one in and am now looking at the links you sent to try and figure out where im stuck
I think I bugged it somehow. I am now showing on my achievement list that I have finished all three footholds, but I’m still stuck not able to progress because I am being told to review the last foothold, which I have already completed perhaps without having done the quest to get there… not sure, just a guess on my part
Can you not see that quest offered in Shatterstone Harbor, Vol’Dun, whether on your world map or in person? You’ll likely need to enable trivial quest tracking on your minimap to see it in person.
so i grabbed the quest ID from the page you linked, and used /script print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(51969)) to check it in game and it returned ‘true’ in the chat window. That quest was what I was referring to when I said
I went back and saw nothing in person or on minimap, even walked to the co-ords given on the page and he is no longer there
@ anyone who comes to this looking for a solution:
I fixed it by dropping the quest and was able to turn it in as soon as I picked it back up. now to figure out where to go from here
