So I got my dragonflight refunded because I made a character from the wrong faction and boosted it not knowing that would prevent me from playing with my friends and not that the character has been locked I can’t delete it because it has the boosted character mail. I have no way of getting on the character and deleting the mail so I would have to wait until the mail gets deleted on its own which would take 180 days. I made a ticket for this today but they just sent me an automated reply and auto-resolved my ticket so I came here instead.
Is there anything I can do about this or do I make a new ticket?
New ticket. The mail thing is a bugged I’ve also reported. Even if I log into the toon, they have no mail, but I can’t delete it. Good news? It only takes 30 days for mail to expire on its own.
There’s going to be a lot to untangle that will need to be done via ticket. You’ll want to submit it under Purchase Failure in the Payments category. Ideally you would have seen if they could make an exception for the boost rather than refunding the expansion entirely.
They will likely have you repurchase DF which will then unlock that character, and then you’ll want to try another ticket for the boost. Bear in mind that it isn’t guaranteed.
That doesn’t sound quite right-- they’d have locked it because you refunded the expansion which would’ve locked out the boosted character. Depending on how long its been since you purchased it again, it may just be a matter of processing time which can take up to 24 hours.
Though if buying the expansion gave you another boost token to use, then yeah it’s going to stay locked.
Which would defeat the entire reason I got the refund lol but yea it would immediate solve the problem and be a big waste of money to delete a character.
