Can't cast spells on ground

Can’t cast abilities like holy word sanctify, mass dispel (priest), meteor (mage), and other types of those abilities on like ground. Theres green circle right, then it just dissapears while i move my cursor around, and the cursor goes from glowing blue to glowing grey. And then i click to cast on the ground, and it says “out of range” or “target not in line”. Someone else in trade chat has same issue

I cannot get both Shadow Crash and Mass Dispel on my shadow priest. I keep getting that the spell is out of range, even when trying to cast them at my feet. I’ve tried turning off all addons and casting the spells without mouseover macros and that does not help. Annoyingly, the spells will SOMETIMES work if I move locations, but mostly they don’t. Not sure what the issue is.

same here man - im on my destro warlock and i keep trying to press summon infernal on the ground to stun people, and shadowfury ect … i went behind a pillar and /reloaded multiple times, turned off my addons during the match and still same problem. caused me to drop unnecessary rating - very frustrating indeed

  • I play on a 2019 iMac which doesn’t use an M1 processor but rather an intel core processor.

I play on a Mac M1. Nothing seemed awry when I logged on, so I queued for solo shuffle, and in the middle of the first match, I noticed that neither “Death and Decay”, nor “Anti-Magic Zone” could be casted. Super frustrating. I ran through all the instructions to fix it and no change. I’m glad it’s not just me though. I spent two hours trying to troubleshoot.

Yep, I also got pawned really bad cause my spells weren’t working. Lost about 50 points as well with 5 out of 6 losses in solo shuffle…

same here, as restoration shaman cannot cast capacitor, spiritual link and healing rain =( ( play on Mac OS platform )

Yep also on a mac and having the same problem. Any ground spells wont cast if its anywhere near me - (healing with Druid, Meta for DHunter, etc). It just shows gray pointer for mouse and out of range text. Blizz please please fix, this greatly affects our game play.

Same issues here. Can’t cast blizzard as mage, so basically can’t play.

Same issue here. Problem started today. Sometimes it works fine…sometimes the target circle appears or disappears based on where my mouse is, and when the circle disappears I can’t cast the spell.

I’m on a M1 Pro… I’m thinking this is a Mac OS issue at this point. Hopefully they can fix it during reset :frowning:

This cost me a good 200 pts in solo shuffle at 2100+ last night and this morning.

I hope after the maintenance they fix it. tots terrible

probably change talents to single target for awhile if this isn’t fixed …

I’m having the same issue with not being able to cast Light’s Hammer on my 16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Pro processor). Most of the time I don’t get the reticle and it says, “Target not in line of sight.” I can cast the spell in a few spots, but just a few feet over I can’t because the reticle doesn’t appear.
