i understand making a level 55 character would require a 55 character on the server but why doesnt it matter if im boosting to 85? makes no sense

I came from sod excitedly ready to boost a death knight and I just logged on to see I can’t boost a dk because of the 55 level requirement. blizz please for the love of god fix this
