I am unable to add payment methods to my battle.net account. I have been trying since yesterday and it just errors out every time or will sit and spin infinitely.
I get message: Heads up! something went wrong. Select another payment method or try again later.
I am not seeing a Billing Profile setup for you Biotic, so you are correct - there is nothing in there.
If you are getting a spinning wheel, I’d suggest the same as above, first trying other browsers, making sure your security software - or other overlay software isn’t blocking you.
I had to remove a credit card, and I am trying to add a new credit card, and I cannot, not even through the shop (keeps giving me the Internal Error message)
As mentioned earlier in this thread, this usually means that something is blocking it. Make sure to try temporarily turning off any anti-virus and/or security software to see if that helps.
Maybe not, but security programs have an annoying tendency to get a little overzealous in their duty whenever there’s a new update, even if it’s something that may have been whitelisted in the past.
It also isn’t necessarily Blizzard’s, otherwise we’d be seeing numerous threads about it here.
It’s possible that it might just take some time to work itself out, too. We’ve seen that waiting a few hours to a day has somehow helped to work the kinks out.
Out of curiosity, have you tried completely wiping all of your saved payment methods and trying after that?
I was having an issue adding a payment. Would click Credit Card and Continue, then the next screen would just load icon forever. I tried this on my phone as well on a different network with the same result. I was using chrome on both devices. I then switched to Microsoft Edge to try again and it worked!
What I just got from a GM:
I read over your ticket and I understand you are getting an error when trying to update your card info. Currently we have a know issue affecting Mastercards. We are working on getting this fixed but for the time being using the card via PayPal will work.
Otherwise using another card type at this point should also work. We do nto have an ETA on the fix but hoping it is a quick fix myself.
If you believe you have encountered a bug with our site, please be sure to post in the Website Bug Report. With a few less aggressive one liners in there. Please do not resurrect threads from weeks ago for what amounts to a new issue.
Please keep in mind that we receive reports of potential issues all the time. When we receive them we start an investigation, looking at various potential causes and resolutions.
We currently have a case opened that is being looked into and we have been able to replicate the issue for various situations. I don’t have any additional information other than it is in testing.
Given this thread is several weeks old and not specifically related to the original issue I’m going to keep this locked.
