Can't add game time with prepaid mastercard

Hello, I keep getting errors when I try to add game time with my prepaid mastercard. I’m trying to add 60 days game-time as I was told should work with prepaid credit cards. I keep getting an error “We encountered an issue completing your transaction. Please try again later. If the issue persists, please click here.”

clicking the link doesn’t really help it just says to clear my cache and make sure that there’s enough funds. So I tried these things and of course it’s all good but still nothing works?

Are you trying to push it through as a subscription or a straight time block? I do not believe they can go through as a sub - if I recall correctly.

I tried both and neither worked.

Do you have enough on the card to cover any tax + a “ping” charge? The latter is when a company (not just Blizzard) “pings” the card with a temporary charge to test if it’s good, and has funds. If you have only the exact amount for the game time, but the ping charge brings you over, the transaction will decline.

Apologies in advance here, going to be playing twenty questions. :slight_smile: Did you register the pre-paid card, giving it a billing address and all of that?

Some prepaid cards cannot be used, this may be one of them. Does the card have an option to register it? That can sometimes allow the card to be used on our site.

I don’t know exactly, how would I know if it can be registered?

It’s a “vanilla mastercard” if that helps.

I just bought it and swiped it to activate it and I have a receipt where it’s activated with $200 but I don’t know about any registration?

I can login online and it says I have $199 left. It says blizzard tried to make a transaction a few times (when I tried) but it nulled.

I’m going to “add a zip code” to see if that fixes it. BRB

I’ve never owned one of those, but I think it may be listed on the back of the card.

Aye, whenever a card is used on the site it usually sends a test charge to make sure the card is valid.

That is often needed, good luck!
