Cannot Unmount

Update: Certain mounts are buggy. Now I cannot stay mounted on the Kualak glider. One player thought that, because his emerald drake had the same issue, maybe it’s the mounts that were not in the OG. So far, my old mounts work fine.

Opening a ticket is impossible. The user interface is a nightmare.

I have the same issue, but it was only with the Kalu’ak Whalebone Glider. Other mounts are working fine that I have so, it must just be that one.

both several gift mounts appear to be causing the same issue. Hope we get a fix/update soon cuz its unplayable now.

I agree that the ticket procedure is so circuitous and baffling. Then they fire off a ChatGPT reply at you

I hate the pithy support advice of “try disabling addons”.
But in this case I would definitely give it a try.

Other things you can try as a workaround:

  • Right-click the mount buff icon to turn it off.
  • Write a /cancelaura <name of mount buff> macro to see if that works.
  • Use a /dismount macro. (Probably won’t work if the dismount button doesn’t work, but it’s getting desperate now.)
  • Dismount while on the move. Usually you can’t mount while moving. So hopefully the remount fails.

Even if you find a workaround that does work, don’t forget to submit a bug report with full details including the behaviour of possible workarounds. And based on some of the other posts, perhaps list all mounts that have you’ve seen with this problem.

Still stuck on my Nightmarish Emerald Drake. Tried all the work arounds. Disabled all the add ons, logged off and on and reloaded, did scap and repair…etc…still stuck…

On it alive, on it dead, on it in a building, on it when I resurrect. Can’t play can’t hunt…

Same issue here, only with Festering Emerald Drake & Nightmarish Emerald Drake, suicide worked, changed to Swift Purple Gryphon & mount/unmount works as intended.

None of these will work for this issue, the aura disappears and then instantly re-applies when you try to dismount in a flyable area. Going inside a building or into a no-fly area/dungeon will fix it.

Well I figured they’re worth a shot - especially dismount while on the move.
I can’t try myself because I don’t have any of the mounts mentioned as problematic.
So thanks for the feedback.

It’s really annoying for those who have spent hard cash that rewards these special mounts to be unable to use them.

Try a different mount. But to unmount, fly into a building.
