I had frozen the celestial steed to wait to see what came up this month. Since there was no other mount available, I purchased the steed. Now the steed is still in the frozen slot, and I can’t see the Darkmoon transmog set as that was probably at the top. How do you unfreeze an item? I thought when I purchased it, that it would automatically become unfrozen. Am I missing something? help please

I froze [Ensemble: Vagabond’s Rosy Threads]. I later purchased it in the same month. It did not free up the frozen slot, so I assumed that I was required to wait until the next month. However, the frozen slot is still in use and I cannot do anything about it.
The game seems to think that I have not purchased the cosmetic set, which may be related to the issue.

the transmog is the monthly reward.
you can’t purchase it.
Freezing an item, does not prevent items from being displayed the next month.

the tooltip when you first freeze something says it can be replaced with something else so drag the thing you want into the area]
also the darkmoon set is the reward for finishing the tavelers log so you get it anyway

thanks for the update about the darkmoon set, I had forgotten about the reward part. I still can’t freeze a different item though. the steed is still there. Apparently it is an issue and Blizzard is working on it.

This doesn’t work.
I literally cannot unfreeze the mace from last month even though I already bought it.
When you drag something new onto the freeze icon, it acts like it’s gone through, but when you open the interface again, it hasn’t.

Having the same issue - like Maiz said, it doesn’t work. I froze the battle pet Garrlok last month. Bought him this month and he’s still in the frozen spot. Can’t unfreeze him even though I purchased him. (And verified I have him/says he is purchased - I’ve even leveled him already.)
You can’t ‘drag the thing you want into the area’ as suggested - that just doesn’t work.

I just made a toon on another realm and disabled all addons and was able to freeze the new item - so there’s an addon interfering with it. We just gotta figure out which one.
Same problem im having with an item. Reported it in another thread but havent had a response.
I tried disabling all my addons and freezing a new item…it didn’t work. So not an addon issue(at least for me). C’mon Blizzard!!
Drag and drop another item on top of the one that’s frozen.

To unfreeze an item, you replace it with something else (there will always be some item that is frozen)
To change what is frozen, drag the new item DOWN to the icon of the frozen item and release the new item there. A timer will pop up, once it finishes counting down, confirm replacement of item. The new item should now be frozen.
This isn’t the issue and I wish y’all would learn to read that it’s already been done - it doesn’t freeze the new item.
I was able to do it on another server, but it didn’t work on my current server.

I froze the Swashbuckling outfit last month, bought it a couple days ago, and then froze the Dread Admiral’s Bicorne.
Yes, until I actually froze the new item the previous item was visually still frozen, but I had no problem overwriting it.
Just checked, the hat is still frozen.
having the same issue with Celestial Steed which i was able to purchase last month, and it doesn’t seem to be an addon issue that i’m aware of.
I froze the rosy corsage last month, purchased it this month, and wanted to freeze the trusty treasure trove. The treasure trove isn’t saving to be frozen after being given the rewrite frozen item confirmation prompt.
DRAG the thing, oh my God!
I wish Blizzard put some more clear instructions on that Trading Post screen and also automatically remove stuff from the freezing slot when purchased.
I’ve been banging my head into a wall trying to figure out why the pet from the first month didn’t unfreeze after I purchased it.

The pet from last month that I froze I ended up buying, but he’s still content to be frozen.
He has been dragged, Trusty Treasure Trove dragged AND dropped, clicked on confirm after the countdown, addons turned off, dragged again, yelled at, dragged, confirmed, and cried in front of. None of that works.
Also “DRAG the thing” doesn’t work.
Edits: Had to fix words…because tired.
As we have explained like 50 times now, that’s not the problem for most of us.
You can drag it over the item and it’ll say the new item is frozen, but the second you re-open the Trading Post, the old item is back in the frozen slot.
