Cannot trade cold weather flying tome to alts on same bnet account

PSA that cold weather flying tome cannot be traded to alts on the battle.net linked accounts. This might be unexpected to some people due to mail being instant between these accounts, as well as account-bound rewards.

yes, bnet accounts are not the same as wow account.

heirlooms can only be traded to the SAME wow account NOT same bnet account.

What you are describing is working as intended.

Pretty sure this is the same even in retail for account bound items.

strange that literally every other feature behaves like it’s the same bnet account except for this?

sub rewards, deluxe editions, instant mail… seems like an oversight/bug

Not a oversight or a bug. It’s how it was designed in wrath. Speaking as one with two acounts back than.

Back in wrath blizzard had a stance of mains and alts are not mains and alts but two mains.

Each toon was equal and you had to earn everyrhing for them this is why achievements where not shared. As such unlocking stuff you got to go and do.

There where vary few things to make alts lives easier heirlooms where one but where made to be wow acount not bent acount bound. As unlike the stuff you mentioned that was added for classic looms are og to wrath and was added at a time wow acounts on diff bnet acounts dint interact at all

They could at least make the tome refundable. Stuck with multiple of these now because this is the only account-bound item that works this way.

Not only acount bound item like that every heirloom works like that. Heirlooms are different rules than stuff added for classic that was added after blizzard made changes to how they thought of an “acount”. In og wow an acount was your wow acount bit bent acount. Thou I think blizzard should change looms to be bnet wide but that’s a change.

Well we could also only have 10 characters per server and that has changed. Makes no sense. That in no way preserves the “feel of Classic”

Yes I agree why I said it’s a change I would make but a change non the less will get flak.

If they cared about getting flak for changes, they wouldn’t have removed RDF, so that argument is bollocks.

That’s not how it works on Retail.

You can send any account bound item to any other WoW account as long as it’s on the same battle net account.

They share achievements. They share mounts and pets. They share everything.

Yet they are only allowed 1 boost per bnet account and rewards are sent to all… That also means hodir shoulder enchants will have to be ground out multiple times… This just keeps getting worse…

Oh yeah and heirlooms will likely be the same… GREAT

I got boosts on both my accounts… because they are essentially 1 account when linked under battle.net. If this doesn’t get addressed soon having 2nd accounts is not going to be worth it. I think others will cancel their 2nd account as well. Might be good for them for queues but I think Blizzard values money more than queues.

I put my DK on my second account and my other tanks are on the first account… I’m not grinding this out twice so I can fill 10 man groups with alts… If its not fixed I will likely just cancel my subs. This is miserable already

If the alt character is not on the same character screen as your main it won’t work. If it did work, bots would be selling accounts even more!

Then why is there instant mail between the accounts, genius?

Ask blizzard. My Alts on different realms come up, I can’t mail to them.

Alts on different accounts but on the same realm can mail to each other instantly which means Blizzard considers 2 different WoW accounts linked under 1 battle.net account as the same account.

When did Battlenet 2.0 come out even? Don’t think this concept of multiple wow accounts associated with the same Battlenet account even existed. You had to sign into a special account name in the WoW client every time.

The instant mail between different accounts came out in WoW classic… not that long ago.

In blizzards eyes it’s two accounts linked, not one big account. Two subs, two accounts. Lots of people have their partner, kids etc all linked, doesn’t mean heirlooms can be traded to your linked family.

Afaik this has never worked and likely never will. Don’t know what to tell you. They make changes all the time though, maybe you’ll get lucky.
