I’ve been trying to request a refund for my World of Warcraft subscription due to serious gameplay issues. However, every time I follow the correct refund path via Support > Payments > Refunds > Refund other World of Warcraft purchase, I’m taken to a page that says:
“Oops! It looks like something went wrong. Please try again or submit a support ticket if the problem persists.”
This has been happening consistently for several days, across different browsers and devices. I’ve cleared cache, tried incognito mode, and even switched networks, but the result is always the same.
What’s more frustrating is that the page tells me to submit a support ticket, but provides no button or link to actually do so. There is no “I still need help” or “Contact Support” option anywhere visible in this refund flow.
As a result, I am completely unable to escalate the issue to a human support agent.
This seems like a serious flaw in your support system. Please provide a working method to contact support staff and resolve this refund request manually. I am not the only user facing this issue.
You will be refunded if your purchase is within the Refund Policy. That means NO game time has been used in that subscription block. They do not refund partially used sub or gametime blocks.
Subscriptions
We’ll refund any unused World of Warcraft subscription within 14 days of the purchase.
We won’t refund subscription time lost due to a suspension and/or permanent account closure. For permanent account closures and suspensions longer than 15 days, we will cancel upcoming recurring subscriptions.
From the looks of it, your issues with the game are due to you not knowing where the trading post is, or how to use the mini map. The game is not broken and unplayable.
The best option when looking for new games is to use the free option to see if a game runs on your system, if you like the overall game controls, if you like the overall gameplay style and story, etc.
I am sorry, but you have played on your game time for a significant amount of time and will not be eligible for a refund based on the Refund Policy.
The website should be telling you that, which is a flaw if it does not let you put in that ticket so that you get the notice that you are not eligible for a refund.
Oh dear. Yeah that is possible too. The website does have problems at times which just makes everything even harder. Refunds should be super simple and semi-automated. That way folks who qualify can just quickly get their refund and go on their merry way.
A pending transaction may take more than 12 hours to clear, although usually it does not. Just be sure to use the purchase failure/problem with a purchase route if you have to ticket.
