I have checked online and ChatGPT for many hours. I cannot find and/or cannot complete pre-requisite quests. I have access to the Dragon Flight profession interfaces. I skipped ahead of Dragon storyline to get profession access and I might have bugged something.
<also put in bug forum since I’m not sure if my account needs to be adjusted or if this is a bug>
Yes. Cannot locate weekly’s. Cannot find/start/locate pre-requisite quests "“Artisan’s Courier” nor ““Show Your Mettle”” in Valdrakken or starting zone
You need to have at least 25 skill points in the profession before the specialization quests show up. And if this is a first character in Dragonflight, you may need to do some pre-requisite “getting to know the Artisan’s Consortium” quests in the Ruby Lifeshrine in the Waking Shores.
Thank-you much for your suggestions. My crafting skills are 56 and 63. and am on Chapter 4 of campaign and did all quests relating to crafting as well. Just that macros say that I did not do quests and I cannot find
If you rushed Valdrakken, you may have missed the Ruby Lifeshrine (which is part of the progression in the Waking Shores) and the Artisan’s Consortium NPCs there.
Thanks again. Turns out macro said I did that quest. Unloaded all addons, deleted /wtf and /interface directories… I’d be happy at this point if a GM reset my entire Dragon Flight journey.
Agree that you would not want to count on ChatGPT or similar other than it scrapes the web for things that “might” work. BTWQuests works great and when I go to War Within, I will follow it closely and no more shortcuts.
No, that’s not something a GM can do. That said, once you have completed the quests on one character, you get an option to skip them on alts. If you use the skip, you get a couple profession items, but then you can’t complete those quests anymore. Since you completed the to give one’s heart quest and the others aren’t available, that means you probably used the skip.
Also, ChatGPT is useless. All it does is scrape results from things people have posted online, which have just as much of a chance to be incorrect as correct. I have seen many, many people post things that ChatGPT said, about many topics (from games, to car/mechanic issues) where it gave a blatantly 100% wrong answer. It’s been awhile and I don’t have the exact text, but I saw someone post results it gave for changing a timing belt, and the “instructions” it gave would completely wreck an interference engine (which most are). I was watching a car mechanic channel, and someone had sent them those ChatGPT instructions and they went over it and said “don’t do this if you don’t want to destroy your engine” and explained why.
Thanks all.
Seems like skipping around content can make weird phasing things happen. Not sure if it will ever get sorted out but on to War Within. No shortcuts. As to ChatGPT, agreed that often gives bad results. It gets info from web scrapes which can be questionable. Use it more as a flexible customizable search that can be steered rather than to expect it to craft some insightful answers. Or go to Icy Veins
By profession quests, do you mean the ones like “To Give One’s Heart” that Sniperorc linked? It does look like you have completed a few of those and are currently have “The Wonders of the World” in your quest log.
The Wonders of the World quest is the one the leads to Show your Mettle. Also some of the zone intro quests are needed depending on your profession. I know for the blacksmith weekly quest I needed to complete “Into the Azure Span”. I am also working on getting some of the others open, as Im only getting the weekly consortium quests on about half my characters.
There is also a skip that starts with Haephesta at the Ruby Lifeshrine, but is only available if you have not done any of the associated quests. If you have done any, the Wonders of the World questline starts there. Also make sure you have done “Into the Azure Span” and your professions are levelled past 50, as more weeklies open up at that point.
