There’s clearly some issue that’s affecting multiple people. Blizzard games just do not work right now because they refuse to connect. Every other game is fine. All troubleshooting attempted.

Would really like to see any address of this anywhere by Blizz or a response to my ticket

Tried a VPN and it works now. That’s frustrating.

same issue, day two. They closed my ticket I re-opened it. Same issue on two separate computers that aren’t even connected. Can log into my European account no issues, classic WOW, no issue, Season of discovery, no issue. Retail. Issue.

Would contacting my ISP speed this up, or is this something I have to wait on Blizzard to take their sweet time to get around to doing?

Not sure if links are allowed but, this is the relevant thread. Based on the blue responses in this thread it seems like you’re just stuck waiting. Again this is a quite old thread but, it seemed to be the most accurate and using a VPN bypassed the issue so, that’s my assumption. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/blizzard/t/blzbntbna000000a8d-1118-or-blzbntbgs80000011-2-could-not-log-in-to-battle-net/673

Thanks for the help, I guess I’ll just keep reopening my ticket that they close after using an automated response and hope that helps make them speed the process along.

I contacted my ISP and they say that everything is fine on their end. They offered me some suggestions about checking other things

I’ve also been having the same problems for the past three days. I’ve restarted the computer. Restarted the wireless. I deleted the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders, then completely reinstalled the game when that didn’t work. I’ve tried on multiple computers, both wireless and wired. I’ve tried bypassing the launcher and starting with wow.exe. Nothing works.

I’m also in South Dakota.

Have been fighting this issue for two days now and someone luckily seemed to have the correct answer although it is a bit of speculation.

It appears that following the recent string of DDOS attacks Blizzard has changed the way incoming ISP’s reach their servers. I’m not a networking professional but it sounds like it can take a while before they clear the new routes between ISPs and their servers. I’m in the midwest where there are much fewer people than the coasts so this makes perfect sense to me since they would likely prioritize the high population centers over low like where I live. The temporary solution for me was using a VPN.

After the game successfully launched while using the VPN it seems like the posters theory may be correct. I was extremely disappointed in the way that Blizzard has addressed (or not addressed) this however. They sent me through hours of resetting this and that and uninstalling and reinstalling things only to be met with the same outcome. Their final response to me was to contact my ISP. They seemingly have accepted no responsibly in the matter and that just drives me crazy.

Also in South Dakota btw. The land that Blizz forgot

Just FYI, billing can not help with disco problems, and reopening a ticket too many times could lead to warnings. Billing tech really does not provide technical support, you might be better to contact your ISP and have them check the routing.

My ticket was not about billing, it was about connection issues.

Yep… Couple of times.

I think I’m having the same issue. I haven’t been able to log in for three days and keep getting a disconnected error (WOW51900328) during login. I’m in South Dakota and use a small local ISP. I did open a support ticket, but so far the representative has only sent generic, copy-pasted replies with links to their help articles.

I would like to try to repair option… but I cannot even get it to get past the BNet loader, most of the time.

Also in SD here, using Valley Fibercom…first time trying to log in since Thursday and having the same issues

I got the same response essentially; I was told to look into changing my ISP definitely not an issue with the ISP. Hurrican Electric support said it was an issue on Blizzard’s end and that Blizzard is choosing the current routing which is causing pretty high ping.

I did send an email to peering@blizzard.com with my tracert to the destination ip “blizzards server” and the response from Hurrican Electric and some additional information provided by them.

Hope changing ISP isn’t their solution because I literally only have 1 option in my location XD

The one good news of this outage is I’m learning that I’m far from the only WoW player in my area! Same provider here
