Says i need an active sub to post in forums, which i have running in the background as i post this. Anything i can do to fix this?
You can log in and out of the Forums, might take a few tries for the Forums to recognize your subscription status.

Ive tried this a few times and nothing yet. Ill try a few more and will reply back if not solved. When i try to post in General it makes me manually select a community instead of creating it for General, but the only communities i can post to are here.

Technically, it looks like your subscription is currently pending authorization. This tends to happen when the subscription is renewing, but most folks don’t notice because access to the game isn’t usually interrupted.
The Forums work differently, in that during this time your account is considered inactive. While inactive you’ll only have access to the service forums, such as this one and Technical Support. Once your subscription completes processing you should regain access again, though you may need to log out and back in to refresh your account status. Sorry for the confusion.
