Cannot log into WoW account, lost access to email account

Hi,
for some reason the password I’ve used for a long time is no longer working on my other account. I tried to do a password reset, but I’ve changed my phone number recently and google will not let me sign in without a code that is being sent to my old phone number. It doesn’t seem like I can regain access to Gmail to reset my wow password or update my phone number. I fear that I cannot play that account again, cannot even cancel my subscription without being able to long in, and lost access to email due to new phone number. Has anyone else had this issue?
Surely, I cannot be the first person. I don’t even know what my next step could be besides calling my bank and telling them to block blizzard payments. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Nothing malicious is being done here. I have been playing WoW for 14 years.

I would hold off on going to the bank rhees usualy a simple solution.

Rest assured that Blizzard will work with you to verify you’re the account holder and get you back up and running.

This is likely the result of the change to the authenticator and retiring the older app to combine it with the newer.

The unfortunate part is that you didn’t update your e-mail or phone number to keep them accurate, which means that you’ll need to put in a ticket to get assistance.

Personally, I also suggest setting up a brand new battle.net account (under a different throw-away email address) and that way you can enter the ticket using that account and track your progress through it while you regain access to your current account.

They will also likely need a current e-mail address to move the legacy account over to.

I hope that all makes sense, but feel free to ask here for clarification (just don’t post any personal info as this is a public site).

This does need to be handled through tickets.

Can I get the Battletag of the account in question?

You can use the account you are posting on here to make a ticket.

Just be clear in your ticket that the account you need to get changed is the OTHER one - and provide a new email (one that is NOT in use on any Battlenet account currently) to change it to.

The answers need to come back in through another ticket. I’d setup a fresh email for this, we cannot help you recover the email itself. We CAN change the email on that account.

Needs to be an email NOT in use on any Battlenet account.
