I got a new phone, and to log in to the authenticator you need to authenticate the login to the authenticator you cant log in to.
Ok so I go to remove my authenticator:
Too many attempts.

I literally cannot log in to my account. I cannot remove my authenticator. I CANNOT CONTACT SUPPORT. what the actual hell. Does anything in this process actually function?? I’m only able to play the game or post here because it skips the authenticator step for now. If battle net kicks me out, I will lose access to my account with no recourse.
Same phone number. When I click “trouble logging in” or whatever I am prompted with
forgot password
problem with email
remove authenticator
my account is locked
I am given no option for a text. I also tried this over the weekend and got his with “too many attempts”…so I waited until today like 48 hours later. The FIRST authenticator attempt was hit with too many attempts… The whole thing feels like a nonfunctional dead end. Infuriating.
If you didn’t use the restore code - what you have on a new phone is a new authenticator.
The old one needs removed. Likely won’t be able to do it with self-help, you’ll want to put in a ticket. That can be done through the Support link above.
This worked using the support link above. Process worked great. I guess the real support item from this is that when trying to log in to the authenticator, the links to get you to the process to remove it appear to be broken. Mine has been updated and transferred thank you!
