Before the DDos attack today I was playing fine. Since then I cannot get past the character screen because it never loads. I did everything my guild told me about restarting router, deleting cache, and dnsflush.
Finally I just deleted battlenet and WoW. I then reinstalled them and still cannot get on. It acts like it is loading the character list but never does.
Any suggestions on what to do? I’m so aggravated.
Have you tried resetting the WoW User Interface?
I thought deleting the game and battlenet would fix the issue. I even deleted caches and did a dnsflush. I will try and see if this helps. Thanks you for trying to help. I’m so aggravated trying to get this fixed .
It is kind of hard to pinpoint what the issue really is. If nothing works, then this would be the next best option.
I am not sure on what else can be done.

Hard to say which it might have been.
When you log in, things load up. If there is still packet loss, or delays - that can mess with a lot of things, unfortunately.
As to reinstalling, that is rarely ever needed. But to answer the other part - no, that’s not necessarily the same as a proper reset UI, either.
The 3 folders involved aren’t created until you log in the first time. Even reinstalling may not wipe them out, depending on how it’s done.
Folks often think an ingame /reset - or reinstalling is the same process, it’s not - at all.
Since there were issues, I doubt that really was part of it - but just in case you ever need to do it, or someone else finds this thread later.

I logged off for lunch and I find myself once again stuck at the character screen that never loads. I went back and did what you said, but not back on yet. Any clue why it has done this again? I have not had any trouble before yesterday, plus my computer is brand new. Got it just for WoW a few months ago.
