today i discovered i cant enter any old raid suddenly at 90 “do not meet requirements”

Not a bug. You have to be in a raid group

it means you need a raid group to enter, you can do it yourself by going to the premade groups tab in the dungeon finder window, create a group, list it, click your portrait and select “convert to raid” you can then enter any raid by yourself
did kara last week without a raid group why now?

You were in a raid group and didn’t realize it. I also did Kara last week and it required a raid group

Raid groups are no longer necessary to enter pre-Mists of Pandara raid dungeons. Enemies in these raids that previously required more than one player to defeat are now more easily dealt with by players battling alone
I also just went to Kara and it let me in with no raid group. Been doing old raids for gold for weeks without needing a group.

Some raids require it, others don’t. Kara and Mag let me in, but SSC/TK still require a raid group to enter.
So have I. Every single one has needed a raid group. Seems like it’s inconsistent for whatever reason
For clarification, “raid group” means posting a dummy group on LFG, then right clicking your name and converting to raid, not actually having a group of other players
You also linked patch 5.1. We aren’t there yet. Yes I understand Classic is built on a custom patch based on the final one from an expansion, but that doesn’t always mean we have all of the features from that patch, especially in Pandaria
We have everything except the content from all the MoP patches with a select few like exp reverted. Old raids should no longer require a raid group. Considering that most, Kara included, correctly do not require one, this would seem to be a bug.

I don’t disagree. But that doesn’t change the fact that they do, or inconsistently do I guess, hell if I know. All I do know is, I personally have needed a raid group to do any old raid ever since I started doing them in prepatch with AQ40. Yes, including Karazhan
It’s not like starting a raid group is some kind of puzzle box anyway, just click a couple of buttons and you’re good to go

This. Except for some reason, BWL would not let me in without a raid group. At first I thought that somehow, it still required attunement. Went through the quest chain for it and still no dice. Logged a character on the second account, formed a raid group and away I went. Molten Core? No need. Hardly a big deal but some consistency from one to the next would be nice.
There’s a better way to make a solo raid group posted above in this thread but yeah, doesn’t seem like things are working quite right.
I don’t know why you’re even arguing, it’s obviously bugged. Actually I do know why, typical forum user, unable to admit being wrong about literally anything.

True. I tend to take a second toon along with a different armor type and different weapon proficiencies for transmog purposes so that’s just been my go to way of forming a raid. Had no idea the method mentioned above was even a thing. Learn something new daily.
