Cannot delete Clone with mail

Logged into hunter on WoW Classic to lock it there. Logged in to Burning Crusade Classic to delete hunter and reroll as Dranaei hunter. Could not delete hunter for character slot because “Clone” has mail.

Any fix on this? I wanted to reroll factions but cant delete alliance clones on my server.

Im on the same boat, I want to free one slot for a TBC boost, but I cant delete one of the inactive clone due to it having mail.

Many are experiencing this same issue.

Surely it was just an oversight on activision’s part. A hotfix will be necessary.

also happening to me. gold spammer mail has locked my character from deletion.

I think I just tagged something to do with mail and then just further described the issue.

Bumpetybump…This is an absurd issue.

The only choice i have now is to not play or wait 30 days for the mail to expire…you need to be able to delete clones especially if you’ve already deleted the base character

I don’t think the mail can technically expire. It’s a snapshot, everything is still.

Yes this is a major issue and it needs to be addressed. We should be able to Delete clones mail or no mail. I am having same issue.

These unremovable inactive snapshots are preventing people from creating new characters.

This needs to be hotfixed ASAP.

And the fact gold selling spam bots that sent mail before servers went down can be the cause, which is my case. I feel like a bot has blocked me from being able to make a horde character during the prepatch launch.

FYI, I just got a response from Blizzard on my ticket saying you have to wait for the mail to expire to delete the clone. What a flippin’ joke.

I don’t think it’s even possible for the mail to expire… it’s a snapshot.
