I want to play horde, and I do not find Alliance to be a very appealing choice to be forced to play. Why can’t we just create what we want regardless of the faction balance, as we did in the past? You have to at least offer refunds if this isn’t going to change because I didn’t buy all this extra crap to be forced to do something I didn’t or never would want to do.
In the past, they had force faction balace - for PVP servers. If you’re trying to make a pvp toon, then the blacne thing they can’t lift that. But as recommaned from a blue, wait a few hours to see if it blance out to make the toon.
Indeed. As I understand it the balance is recalculated throughout the day, so if you cannot make one for the faction you want right now, try in a little bit.
You can also create a character on a PVE realm if you are worried about claiming a specific name. Names are unique to the region so creating it on one Ruleset will prevent it from being used anywhere in that region.
Yes sir I appreciate the reply - I think what ended up happening is I had a placeholder for my name as an alliance character, and then I went a few days to see Metallica in Vegas, came back and logged on to see if maybe I could delete the character and create a horde one yet, but the character wasn’t listed anymore anyway- silver lining I guess is that it finally let me create a horde character, so a “winnish” moment I will take what I can get!
*throwing an edit in here to say that when I wrote “I think what happened” is because I don’t know if my character will just reappear at some point or not. AI told me some mumbojumbo about peoples characters missing and they had to logout of bnet app for it to reappear but mine didn’t yet. Either way I’m just happy to be on horde - again, thanks for the reply.
Been trying to make a horde toon for the past few days and can’t. Gotta say I’d rather get a refund than be forced to play a faction I don’t want to play
They stop the creations of names as the game is about to be release. Yesterday, they put out a patch and that fix it for everyone.
at launch people should be able to pick whatever regardless of balance. so many people will quit anyways and someone like me would never play horde as a main. id be effectively cut out of launch if i was a hordie.
(im testing if my 1 month membership with the pre-purchase is active. all throughout the beta i couldnt even post on the forums. )

If you are sincere in suggesting this change, post in the correct forum. Otherwise it’s just going to lay here ignored.
You can , go play PvE. Because clearly having to PvP with faction balance is not something that interests you , Just steamrolling alliance 1000% of the time is what you and all these other poor baby’s are crying about xD its actually really funny. Wah wah wah. Health of the server or a single persons whining , what’s more valuable?
