ok something weird is happening. When I’m on any apple iPhone/Mac I cannot log in to ANY battle net even forum!
and on PC I can type this message and can log in.
I think it has to do with Verizon ISP but right now I cant log in.

I can’t log in to battlenet/wow app, just said connecting for 2-3 mins, then I’ll get dced.

I just want to do my timewalking…
looks like no avail today

So to be clear this login problem only affects the iPhone/Mac. You can log in to the game normally on your computer is that how it goes. Do you see any errors when you try to log in on those devices.

I can’t log in battle net/ wow app on my PC though, because I haven’t updated many patches ago.
I can log in forum on my PC right now.

No errors, just won’t ever connect like ‘safari cannot open this site’ kind of error.

just weird…
blizzard.com
and it said Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.

Try this support page - there is a Mac section there as well. You will need to click the Mac tab.

I just made a post about this same issue and use Verizon and have been on the phone with their techs for like 2 hours. I cannot access anything battle.net on phone data or wifi on my pc and smartphone both Verizon. The Verizon tech I was speaking with in NC was able to connect to battle.net and the support page but I am not. I also cannot log into the battle net app on my PC. the error code I am getting is BLZBNTBGS80000011(2).
EX: I cannot visit the link you posted on my phone via Google/phone data or on my PC I.E on wifi.

Thanks for reporting this. We are seeing other reports from Verizon Wireless customers who are having issues connecting to our services.

Please try the following 2 steps to see if it helps:

Power Cycling Your Network Devices:

  1. Shut down all computers connected to the modem/router.
  2. Power down and unplug the modem and the router if you’re using one.
  3. Allow to sit for 60 seconds unplugged.
  4. Plug in and turn on the modem and router, and allow them to completely boot up until the front panel connection lights on the modem show a steady connection.
  5. Start the computer and allow it to completely boot up.

IP Release, Renew, and Flush DNS:

  1. While on the desktop, press Windows Key and type CMD.
  2. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
  3. Type ipconfig /release in the command prompt.
  4. Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been released.
  5. Type ipconfig /renew in the command prompt.
  6. Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been re-established.
  7. Type ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt.
  8. Close the command prompt and attempt to make a connection.

Please let me know if this helps!

Thanks for the response! I tried all of the above and I still cannot access any of battle net services. Just to add a little more info, on my cell phone (on its own celluar data) I cannot access any battle.net services either but can obviously access anything else. so its not just my PC not getting access but they are both on Verizon.

Thank you for testing.

Can you see if changing to Google DNS helps at all?

I did actually try this earlier as it was suggested by a friend. it didn’t allow access

Let’s try to run a WinMTR test to us.actual.battle.net to see what it shows.

  1. Download WinMTR
  2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop.
  3. Open the WinMTR folder, then open the folder that matches your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit) and run WinMTR.exe.
  4. Enter us.actual.battle.net in the Host field.
  5. Click Start
  6. Let it run for 5 minutes, then click Stop in WinMTR.
  7. Click " Export Text " and save the .txt file to your desktop. Name this file WinMTR.
  8. Copy and paste the text here. If there is any hyperlinks in the WinMTR test, make sure to break the link before posting (.com, .net, etc.)

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

That WinMTR looks rather nasty. I honestly am not sure what is going on. I am unsure of the root cause of this. We will look into this further to see what can be done on our end.

We will update this thread once we have more information.

Thanks! Hopefully we find a solution!

Going to add my report to this too. Verizon customer, can’t log into anything Battle. net related, have tried all listed solutions to no avail.

Adding 2 more reports to this as well, both my husband and I have verizon - and we hot-spot either through our phones or tablets (they are all android - all 4). We can connect to the internet fine, even discord. but ANY Battle net site, trying to lauch battlenet to play games, nothing works. When we switched to another service (sprint based) it worked fine. Seems like a widespread problem with verizon. We are in NV but main node of verizon serice is out of CA I think.

@Ibaraius: FIX FOUND IF YOU CAN CONNECT TO BATTLENET VIA ANOTHER NON-VERIZON SERVICE: Both my husband and I (reported below) tried connecting through another non-verizon service (sprint), ran scan and repair, then reconnected via verizon - and this seems to have fixed the problem. Now, we have to do this on all 4 computers… definitely need to fix something.
