Cannot Character Clone

I selected regular classic for my initial choice on my main. Launched Burning Crusade Classic and tried to clone my main, but as it tries to connect to Shop a black pop-up appears over the Clone choice and it reverts me back to the character selection screen. Is anyone else having issues with this?

i am also having the same issue.

i guess we just gotta wait til blizzard fix it on their end. I know their boosting service is not working

You did it wrong.

If you choose, Classic Era, then you cannot clone.

The correct order is:

  1. Choose to move your character to TBC
  2. Log out of the TBC client
  3. Launch the Classic Era Client
  4. Select the clone option next to your character.

You can clone if you select Classic Era first. I did it last night.

There does seem to be bugs with this though (it took 30 mins for my clone to work) so I agree your way is best but I was able to do it the opposite way.

Yeah, but the option was given in the Classic launcher. It specifically said if you choose to play your character in Classic you can create a clone in TBC. That was on the in game menu. If that is not the case they need to fix it. Because right now my main is locked to Classic and I cannot create a clone in TBC even though that option was expressly given to me when I logged in to Classic.

I know, but it seems to be bugged right now. My steps seem to be working consistently.

Hopefully they fix it soon.

Any updates on this? Still can’t clone my alts - keeps going to black window popup then resets.

The service is mentioned on the website as being available in-game, but had no luck yet getting it to work.

Apparently its a known issue for Macs which they are working on.

im using mac and im having trouble.

try to clone my toon then black window pops up and then reverts back to character screen.

wierd because i did it on my classic era toon and the window pops up as normal

Yep I’m on a mac and it’s not working. Guess I could switch over to my windows machine and try it there.

yep just bootcamp windows on mac and yeah works perfectly fine on windows.

so it is a mac problem
