I purchased the epic version of TWW and when I go to boost my main priest at level 61, they are greyed out (some of the other characters are eligible though). Why can I not boost them? I haven’t used a boost recently.
Has that character done any sort of character service such as race, faction, account transfer? I believe a gear upgrade package for characters that haven’t logged in for awhile may also cause a 72hr cooldown.
Nope, none of those services. However, this is the first time I have logged into this specific character in almost a year.
I am unsure if this could be an issue, but on Character select screen do you have the realm selected that your priest is on? It’s a bit more complicated now with every character showing up on the same screen. Along the top you should see a realm select button, try changing to the appropriate realm and try again.
Yes, correct realm selected. I can boost other low level characters on the same realm just not my main.
You didn’t take the gear update? As Jeysca alluded to, that may count as a boost.
I did not.
You by any chance do not have a WoW Token on you, in your bank or listed in the Auction House on the character your trying to boost.
They do have a token on them.
Then that is why. You can not boost a character if they have a WoW Token. You’ll need to sell that WoW Token.
LIMITATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
- You cannot purchase a character boost in another region
- This boost is not available in WoW Classic Era or WoW Classic Progression
- May not be available for limited-time game modes. Not available for Timerunning Characters
- Customer Support will not assist with any mistakes using a boost
- Character Services - It is not possible to buy a Character Transfer, Faction Change, or any other service for a character that has been boosted in the past 72 hours. Customer Support cannot bypass this restriction
- WoW Token - It is not possible to boost a character with a WoW Token in the inventory, bank, or mailbox
- Glyphs - Applied glyphs will be erased from your character when boosted
Finally, thank you. Why is this a thing?
Guessing it has something to do with the fact that your items get mailed to you when you do a boost. Token can’t be the mail, maybe?
Possibly. It might also be how they register in the system and that they are a purchased commodity, which the Devs want to avoid having a chance of losing (i.e. if you don’t collect your mail within the time limit it is purged).
