Yea ya know what to hell with timmy the reward isnt worth it.
Even leveling alts its tedious it takes 2 days just going daily route, other wise grind dungeons til eyes bleed to fill the bar!.
Humans are not always rational and can seldom identify self-destructive behavior. They are also creatures of habit. In the case of WoW, people are often incapable of coming to grips with their own honest opinion of the game. For those that eventually confront how discontented they are and move on, it can very much be a weight lifted.
I will push back on the notion that no one is making them do anything, though. Many have to slog through an incredible amount of tedium to get to the content they actually do enjoy, and that is one of the most fundamental sins of this gameâs design for a long time nowâwhy the game is often accused of not respecting the playersâ time. Even worse, where the game itself doesnât enforce such behavior, the gameâs community will more than happily assume the role of self-policing.
Yeah, I dunno. Iâm glad OP got the felbear done, but at the cost of going without sleep for about 3 days, thatâs a bit much. Maybe taking a break from the game is definitely for the best. (based on another thread)
I wonder if anyone has ever read a quitting post and been like âyou know what, Iâm done too! Letâs go, OP!â and actually quit over reading some random rage quit post? lol
Let me guess, you struggled with mage tower and are exhausted? Didnât get all the appearances like you hoped you would? Well, here is a solution for you. Donât enter the mage tower.
Yeah, you do. Whether it is the continual onslaught of new currencies, whatever version of artifact power, legendaries, conduits/soulbinds, Domination sockets, azerite armor, essences, crucible, titanforge fishing, or whatever is coming next patch and beyond, the litany of chores to play optimally has been staggering for a while.
I tried once, when at max level and it was around the first times. I even basically outgeared it, but am just not good at that content. I tried on this character and my Hunter, when both were as well maxed out as you could get near the end of the expansion from solo content.
Iâm just not good at that kind of âfast twitchâ content.
Iâm surprised people âpunish themselves againâ, when they bring Mage Tower back; it seems masochistic to me.
thats the key word , to play optimally⊠well if you wanna be the best and have the best stuff then you grind⊠i mean you not gonna have optimal stuff for just afking in a city or blizz just giving it you âŠ
But like i said before you dont have to do major grind to play the content⊠if you wanna have the best stuff then you do and thats a choice
Very few players have be to bis to do the content they do. Most players are not progression mythic raiders, most players do not do keys higher than +15. You donât need to be bis to raid heroic, nor do you need to be bis to smash a +15.
Is it nice to be bis? Sure. But itâs not a requirement to be able to do content at the level that most players play at.
Not having to do some things in theory is mostly irrelevant with how modern gamers approach gaming. Even the lowest difficulty brackets are awash in meta-chasers pulling at the leash to enforce optimal playstyles they themselves are utterly incapable of properly executing. That isnât even accounting for character progression being a principal design goal for this genre of game in particular.
It is pretty simple, really: the game should offer several lanes of content that stand on their own strength and enjoyment derived from doing/progressing them. The game shouldnât impose unrelated tasks on players to drive engagement metrics. The fact that the second one is what weâre getting means even the devs know the content cycles and systems in the game are not broadly fun.
