Our team was neck and neck with the horde but having 4 dk bots wore us down and we eventually lost by 40 in a long AB. this version of wotlk is a hot dumpster fire you can keep it

Horde usually has more DK bots than alliance AND loses most the matches.

The state of the game with bots being so rampant is quite disgusting. This has gone on for far too long. Simply disrespectful as a truly normal player. Feel for you OP. Agreed.

The DK bots are a problem for sure. Blizz needs to cancel the ability to make a DK without having a level 55+ char first.

It seems like a large portion of forum posters prefer BGs because very other WoW content.
I don’t think they ever should have allowed making a DK without a 55 in the first place, but do you think this would have much of an effect?
The bot programs would just go back to leveling any class from 1-55, then right back into the DK scripts that are happening now, no?
Offsetting whatever not detection software they are using with human oversight would probably be best, imo.

I lol’d at this. Horde still win 70ish% of all BG’s (excluding AV of course) with or without DK bots.

They wouldn’t go away, but you’d obviously negatively impact their ramp-up time. How long does it take a bot to get to 55? Because that’s how much upfront time you’ve added to every account they open, and that’s X amount of time for Bliz–I mean players to maybe report them so maybe Blizzard action them before they make any meaningful gold.

Not being frustrated and losing bg’s after a big effort because blizz refuses to touch bots

Which only matters if you’re actively banning bots, which clearly isn’t happening.
Displacing the problem momentarily may have an immediate effect, but how long will that last? A day? A week? And then we’re right back where we are now.
If this was effective, I don’t think we’d even be having this conversation!
I mean, I see what you’re saying, I just don’t think it’s an effective solution. The question is whether they are losing more from subscription cancellations than it would cost to pay a human to ban bot accounts.

I mean they do ban bots, just very slowly. I’m fine with whatever slows them down more.
Eh, part of the issue is those DK bots level up in dungeons because they are so overtuned that they can do that. I know other classes can do some of that, such as mages, but it’s not as widespread and takes time to get to a level and specific abilities that will allow it so that forces them more into the open world.
It’s not a silver bullet, just something to annoy them with.

I am a huge fan of BGing but not in this BOT infested environment.
The Classic dev team has lost a lot of goodwill with how they have mishandled WotLK.

If you played casual BGs as your primary entertainment for WoW you would be unsubbing at this point as well. It is not uncommon at this point for 1/3rd or 1/2 of your team in WSG or AB to be bots. There are 10v10 auto battlers going on in AV regularly mid field.
Normally I see you acting like blizzard is inept, odd take to bash the guy pointing at the massive botting in BGs that are glaring red flags of blizzard ineptitude.
