Cancel subscription of life partner

A fellow player on EU has a bit of a problem and I know people here know many things, so I thought I would ask here for experiences or advice :dracthyr_heart:

Her life partner has been in the hospital for almost 13 weeks now. Since he is not able to make decisions for himself, she has been his legal guardian since the end of February. But they are not married. As it stands now, it is actually not foreseeable wether he will ever be able to play WoW again.

Therefore she wants to manage his account and cancel the subscription but she can´t access it. She already wrote a ticket but they just told her, that they can´t pause/cancel the subscription for her.

Is there anything she can do to get access to the account in that case so she can cancel it herself?

Sorry to hear about the situation, I sincerely hope things improve.

You might send this link to the person in question. Not quite the same situation but should hopefully help get things sorted.

Edit: if that doesn’t work, they could always stop payment on the card if they know which one is being used. There won’t be a refund, but it shouldn’t renew the sub.

If she has POA, then she can invoke that and use those powers to make all financial decisions. That is why POAs exist.
