Yes, but they have to actually prove you murder in a court of law. Someone can just say you did the other thing, then you can lose your livelihood.
In answer to your next question, my ex stepdaughter used to accuse anyone she did not like of assaulting her. It was very plain she was doing this, to me. So it terrified the heck out of me, because if she didnāt like me for some reason she might accuse me. She did it to some guy at school she did not like, for not going out with her or something. She finally did it with her custodial Father in Colorado, which resulted in my ex wife (who believed ANYTHING the daughter said) trying to get custody of her (the daughter was 17.)
The daughter refused to be examined, to confirm that such a thing (or anything at all) had happened. This was probably because if they examined her, they might discover she had never āhad relationsā at all. The excuse the daughter used was, 'ā¦ that would be too much like it happening over again."
It had all the earmarks of something made up. She seemed incredibly naive about ārelationsā in general, often changing the story if something was brought up which kind of showed that there were holes in it.
So we went over $20,0000 in the hole, the added financial stress eventually led to our divorce, while the daughter just told the third party appointed by the court that everything was great with her Father in Colorado.
In the end, I was almost relieved that things ended so I would not have to be around those people anymore.
It is even worse for anyone in Hollywood; Anyone can say something about you, then your career just might be over.
You do know that is a totally made up figure, right? There is no way to prove that only 2 percent of all accusations are false.
The ā2 percentā figure would in fact ONLY be ones that were PROVEN to be false; If only 2 percent were PROVEN to be false, that only means that a figure greater than 2 percent must actually be false (it would be pretty hard to prove such claims to be false, after the fact if enough time had passed.)

I decided to get in on Cancel culture so I cancelled my subscription.
I still donāt get how some people correlate some type of behavior with being guilty and it goes the other way around too , not because someone shows and acceptable behavior means heās innocent either , those shouldnāt be considered proof in any way shape or form
