First, I live in Alaska, so I didnāt vote for anything in Canada.
Second, my US candidate regularly gets 2% of the popular vote in our elections.

After watching the rise of the Kippers in the UK, the National Front in France, AfD in Germany, and whatever the hell party Orban leads in Hungary, Iām starting to the think Canada is the last bastion of Liberalism with a capital āLā.

My hometown is very anti-mask anti-vaxx, sadly. Lotta folks drinking the koolaid, or just tired of the pandemic and thinking that voting against mask mandates will make it go away.

I think the biggest problem is apathy/nihilism, most people donāt care to do their research or donāt have the time to care. This leads to very surface value judgement calls of past elections and no actual research into what bills are trying to pass.
And like you say the most outspoken are victims of propaganda.

I will have to bow out because itās getting far to left centric. If you notice, many in here have now dropped the ālisten to scienceā and āthe vidā. If you donāt get out now, you may be forced out and have a little forum suspension to think about it. It aināt worth the trouble, trust me.
