[Canada - Bell Aliant ISP] Frequent disconnects October 2023

I get the security thing too. So annoying!

Bell Aliant customer here too in Lucasville, Nova Scotia. Highly frustrated with constant dc’s.

Hopefully we can get something done here on Bell Aliant’s side, constant DC’s never makes for a good time.

Having the same issue here. Started about week ago or so. My girlfriend and I both D/C at the same time when it happens. Makes playing HC extremely stressful. I’ve opted to completely stop playing my main.

Using Bell Aliant Fibe 500 internet in Newfoundland.

Another Bell Aliant Customer here having the same issue, hoping for a fix so I can return to HC.

Been having same issue. Sharing this thread with Bell Aliant. So anyone reading this and effected, please notate such so they can see the volume of impact to their customer experience this is having.

Its not just Bell. Its ONLY hardcore servers. I just switched ISPs… its NOT ONLY bell aliant. It is STILL HAPPENING after switching ISPs There is something going on within Blizzard disconnecting people.

I don’t play on hardcore servers. I only play retail wow and have been getting dc constantly in the last week and a half. I swear it’s something Blizzard did that has screwed us up. A friend with Rogers in Toronto who plays retail has also being getting dc randomly. So, yes I believe it’s Blizzard issues.

Ok there we have it… we’re gaining knowledge here… Multiple ISPs… Multiple game servers… Looking more and more like internal blizzard problem.

If you aren’t using bell aliant, then this thread is not for you. run a winmtr and post it in a new thread. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/27780

I took the advice of some of you wise people and tried using my VPN to connect to New York (from PEI) and have been playing for a few hours without any disconnects. I can’t guarantee it’ll work for everyone, but might provide a band-aid fix for folks with VPNs.

As other folks have noted, I also noticed the disconnects beginning about a week ago.

Just an FYI, when it happened tonight I was also booted from discord(first time for that) and so was my girlfriend. Took 3-4 minutes to get back into wow and discord. So this may be affecting more than just Blizz (or maybe they were working on the issue and locked me up) that was around 8pm here in Nova Scotia.

I’m not a bell aliant user. I’m not even US.
Same problems on the EU servers.

This is a very specific issue with an aliant node. You are having unrelated issues.

I wish i could do that. Unfortunately the only competition is Eastlink whose connection caps out ar 15mbps uploaded, which is not enough for outbound streaming which i make a lot of use of.

Yeah my raid has two of us in NS and when we DC its like 50/50 that we drop on discord to.

Notable that discord hosts out of Chicago, which is also where Blizzards US central servers are.

This is still happening btw. The server in question that drops the packets is 137.221.111.33. There is a tournament on-going as well. This needs to be fixed urgently as hardcore WoW is completely unplayable for half the continent. It is not Bell Aliant only. I swapped ISPs and still have the same issue.

Part of me is humbled to see so many Atlantic Canadians here, while the other part is completely frustrated because every Blizzard game is near unplayable. Whether it’s losing your HC character, getting banned from OW for an hour, or wiping your raid… this is really horrible.

I was also disconnected about 10 minutes ago and nearly threw my OW game because of it
