Can you please fix the Azure Vault skip?

So I was just in a heroic Azure Vault so that I could get the quest item off the final boss for the dungeon weekly. Group was curb-stomping the mobs up to the second boss. After the boss died my group which consisted of three evokers and a paladin went over to the edge and flew down to the lower area straight to the third boss. I asked how I was supposed to get down there. No reply from anyone. They pulled, killed the third boss and immediately started the last boss. After they all ditched the second the dungeon was over I had to figure out on my own how to get down there. Finally did by running along the edge and falling down, but it didn’t matter because I couldn’t loot the boss. Wasted 30 minutes in that queue all so I could accomplish absolutely nothing with a group that was as helpful as talking to a stone wall. Great mechanic not letting people loot the boss for a dungeon they have been in the entire time.

Edit: How many more people are going to reply to this thread who don’t know how to read/don’t read the first 10 or so posts for further clarifications? This is fun to watch.

You jump. You won’t die

Yeah, I said in the post that I realized that after the dungeon was over. its still an exploit.

Edit: Upon further discussion I have been made aware this isn’t an exploit. Please quit replying like a broken record to this post.

I’m sorry the group wasn’t more helpful. It’s rude not to type a simple reply.

No, it’s a skip. Dunno why they couldn’t take 5 seconds to explain, but that’s a people problem they had - not an issue for Blizz to fix

Skips arent generally considered an exploit. An exploit is doing something that gains you an advantage over other players. You could do the same thing, therefore no advantage over you, or anyone else. The fact that you didn’t know you could do it is frustrating of course, I’d probably be the same and them not taking the time to explain is typical rude instance group behaviour but…exploit, no.

They are literally not

Edit: I completely misread this

I said generally because you never know what will happen in the game. If its because of an item (like some flask or other) that has an unexpected benefit which is not intended and allows you an express move through an instance then that would be an exploit. But skips no, they are frequently used and have never caused issues.

Is Blizzard aware of this skip though? Especially considering it skips a quarter of the dungeon? Not to mention you have to walk along the edge and fall on a platform that has unfinished collision to even get to the teleporter. That strikes me as a complete oversight more than an intentional skip.

yes they are aware
and its a skip
some old runs had just about the same skips

I am sure that a billion dollar company with people who’s entire livelihoods involve working on dungeons are aware that a technique used in the worldwide broadcasted dungeon championship is aware that you can jump onto a ledge that they put into the dungeon.

Whatever, I’m just pissed I couldn’t loot the boss for something I had no control over.

Unpopular opinion here: I wish skips weren’t a thing at all and getting 100% trash killed actually meant that 100% of the trash were killed.

I get that it’s frustrating but also just requeue and do it again it’ll take five minutes.

The queue took 32 minutes, but I’ll just run it on m0 this time.

I don’t think most of the replies here read the part where they were all Dracthyr… this is not the traditional skip, this was Dracthyr cheating and hovering down, so there’s no hope the OP could know how to get down there.

This is something that Blizzard should know is just typical and allow all participants in an M0 to loot bosses. It’s not enough ilvl to matter to their tightwire endgame content, where this is actually abused too…

Not to mention, I ran back to see where the group suddenly disappeared to, only to see the third evoker flying down. So I never got to see how the paladin got down there. Just really unfortunate timing.

Paladin has Bubble, so he probably followed suit.

Well now you know. You could also soulstone yourself and jump down where they did, or don’t and get rezzed by anyone with a rez.
