Can you please fix the Azure Vault skip?

That’s a bummer but hey, at least now you know, and going forward it won’t be an issue.

Not getting loot from a heroic dungeon boss can be a bummer, but if it helps, you can get 359 gear from the Elemental Overflow vendor, and can get 389 gear from the Forbidden Reach zone.

Unless you’re hunting for transmog, it really isn’t the worst thing. It definitely is lame that no one could be bothered to say something.

I have died plenty of times doing this. :skull:

I wasn’t there for gear, just for a quest item off the last boss.

There are a number of dungeons with this type of geographic move. I remember back in WoD, there was the Everbloom dungeon, where you had to follow a rather finicky path up the side of a hill by jumping to skip around an unnecessary fight if you took the path.

If all this involved is a jump or a fall, and the game doesnt have walls in the way to stop you, then its a design option that players can use.

Considering I assume the groups used it in the MDI, yes, they are aware.

I always have my parasol toy ready for the jump. Also as I am a warlock, Ill SS myself first just in case accident happened.

I just disengage.

That way if I die from fall damage I can yell at the healer.

Yeah I know the skip OP is talking of but I more so hate that if your group pulls last boss it locks out the transport tomes way down for those who can’t slow fall. Found this out one Azure Vault run and I ended up jumping and praying I’d get a rez if I died… I died…and the entire group starting quitting after killing boss and me asking politely for rez so i could loot boss. Group said nothing and I was shocked how cold they were all being only for the evoker healer who popped in right as the group killed third boss and saw me dead and thankfully rezzed me. I sadly forget that kind evoker’s name as it’s been a good bit since but I still thank them for being kind unlike the group members who ditched me for dead rather than throwing a quick rez my way

Remember that Parasol from BFA? It’s an easy to acquire revendreth toy that deploys an umbrella when falling.

It works on the jump skips in Vault.

Edit: damn, beat by johnwitch.

I did a 2 AV yesterday while farming valor. We did the skip. I died. I released because they didn’t rez me, and pulled the 3rd boss. I did the skip again and I died. They killed the 3rd boss and went to the final. I released, spoke to sindragosa, ported to the 3rd boss location, joined the group for the final boss.

Part of running dungeons is learning what’s important to know about them. You are now armed with new knowledge for the next time and this won’t be an issue for you again in the future. Congrat’s.

You can always create 100% clear groups.

Sucks folks weren’t helpful for you during the dungeon but i doubt blizz removes it, they seem to enjoy having some shortcuts here and there for their dungeons especially for keys.

I hate the frogs, I love the skip.

I’d rather fix inconsiderate dic*heads

Skip wouldn’t even be needed honestly if the trash after the second boss weren’t some of the most annoying in the game.

It isn’t an exploit if you gotta do the same amount of work. You’re either killing alarm trash or you’re killing frogs.

I’ve been maining melee dragonflight and mobs whose main mechanic is to yeet 20m across to range I dislike it lmao

…what?

Then why did a guild get banned in DS when they discovered an LFR tier glitch? Why did people get banned for resetting the WQ in Legion for infinite AP? Why did people get banned for stacking experience potions?

I could go on here with countless examples of instances where people did things that others technically could have also done, but suffice to say this is a ridiculous, not to mention completely inaccurate, attempt to describe what an exploit is.

Whether something is an exploit or just a clever use of game mechanics is basically up to Blizzard. It’s a situation where unintended gameplay crops up, either via a bug or overlooked game design, and players probably have to use their brain for a hot second to ask themselves if they think what they found is reasonable gameplay or not.

People don’t like the idea that players have some responsibility in this, but it’s the truth given Blizzard said as much back when people got banned for the experience potion glitch and again during early Classic launch.

An exploit is players taking advantage over an software oversight to their benefit. Advantage over other players doesn’t have anything to do with exploitation. In this case it’s whether, or not, the skip was put there intentionally.
